I'm new to this forum and new to the Trike. I loved my FXSTC and just the thought of putting 3 wheels on it made me what to cry. But's that it the crying due to past injuries to both ankles ridding my 2 wheeled bike has become so painful wasn't even fun anymore.

Found Frankenstein web site and talked with them about wanting to keep my softail custom look to my bike. Ordered there kit with a few upgrades and now I'm ridding pain free for the first time in a few years and loving it.

My bike sat for 3 years got about 25 miles in 3 years. The first week of my Trike I got 800 miles on it BOY it's fun again. It's still my softail it's still light it has the same feel. Yes oh yes this is ridding again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love their kits! Thinking about doing that to another one of mine for the wife. And OBTW, nice looking bike er trike er bike ;). Enjoy the ride because thats is what counts!

Congrats! I'll bet that ride is turning some heads! One sweet looking bike!

It is turning heads, and those that have talked to me say I should leave the fender off. But if I were to get caught in the rain it would be a mess. I'm leaving them off for now no big trip planed until middle of June.

Congrats on getting your knees back in the breeze Rob, great looking ride.

When I triked my Roadking, I said to myself "What hell are you doing to a perfectly good bike!" Now I wonder what took me so long to do it. Glad you are back up and enjoying your ride.

True Ken, I hear that a lot.

Welcome to three wheels. Looks good! We were looking at the open look too, but ended up with a champion kit for our road star. I see your from Rockford, we are from Jenison. We should do a ride soon.

I've totally missed this thread and don't know how!!

Completely inspirational story. Glad you were able to get yourself back in the wind as you should be! Now you never have to get back out of it! Welcome back to riding again.

Great to be ridding again

This past weekend I may have changed the minds of a few friends about Trikes. All of them said after riding my trike - that's not heavy like I thought it would be, it turns really easy and it's not tippy. All of them forgot and put there feet down I still catch myself doing it once in a while.

Because my bike still has the softail custom look I seen to draw a lot of attention when I stop somewhere.

I really wish I had done this years ago, everyone asks where I got it, who made it, and where can I ride one. Ride onrtrike2011.jpg

The trike is definitely an eye catcher. Great looking package.ThumbUp

Added some fenders

Had some fenders painted to match the color of the bike and a gold pin strip put on. Not sure I like it as much with the fenders but I'm sure I will if caught in the rain.trikefenfin11.jpg
