Hi all. Found this while looking at how to make my 2015 tri-glide fit my female short arms and short fingers. Nice to see others having the same problem as I! Inherited the trike after hubby died of cancer last fall. I had been riding my own 2 wheeler since 2005. Graduated to the trike when he got sick. It's set up for his long arms, so needs some changes for me to ride comfortably. Have found some good ideas..Thanks!

Sorry about your husband, Luann. Welcome from San Antonio, Texas. I can't offer any suggestions because I am not short, but I do wish you good luck in getting your trike set up so you can ride many miles in comfort.

Ride safe and have fun.

Welcome, Luann from central ND! Condolences for your loss.

We have a 2017 Triglide which we both ride. I'm 5'4 and I have arm issues as well. We changed the bars and pulled them back some. We also changed the clutch and brake levers to Oberon adjustable. Cost is about $150 each but what a world of improvement. I told my hubby I wouldn't ride without changing them because the reach was so far my thumb was hurting. We ordered from hogleverage.com.

Hope this helps!

Welcome to Trike Talk...

I'm sure there will be someone that needed the same changes you seek I changed bars for my short arms. Possibly change to a different seat as well those adjustable levers are they say really nice. Good luck in your search. :good: Ride safely Fred

Good to know. A friend pulled the stock bars forward and its better, but still ordered new ones so I can hopefully actually lean against the backrest. Will order the Oberon levers tomorrow. My thumbs will hopefully be happier. Super glad I found this place or wouldn't have known the levers existed. Thank you!

Hey Luann - Welcome to TT from SW MO from a former Minnesotan. I grew up in Farmington, have family in Cannon and ride around the Red Wing/Welch area along the river when I get a chance.

A group of us that used to go to the Davis Rally in New Hampton, IA before they changed the date and made it a one day only thing are going to be camping at Hay Creek Campground the weekend after Labor Day. Would be neat to have you stop in at the campground to meet IRL.(you too, Ken aka Keystone)

Now a thought on your question - HD sells something they call a "Reach" seat. It moves the rider up closer to the bars. Note that a lot of HD parts are claimed to not fit one model or another, but actually will fit, sometimes straight up or with a bit of modification. Some dealers will be willing to help with something like this more than others. My sister and brother-in-law have had a good experience with the HD shop in Faribault. Independant shops are usually more willing to step outside the box and come up with creative solutions, too.

Sorry for the recent loss of your husband. Way to get into the saddle and celebrate the life you had together. Once you make the trike your own, making new memories will be awesome!

As you can see in my avatar picture, both of us have trikes, and we take our kids with us so we can ride as a family.

Welcome to Trike Talk from eastern Kentucky.

Winona harley put the reach seat on for me to try. Hated it. Felt like I was sitting on top of the tank with my knees under my chin. They did research and order handlebars but had no good ideas for the clutch pull. So excited to order the ones I heard about here!

My house is on the other end of the road that Hay Creek Campground is on! I'd like to stop down and meet folks that are in town. Let me know closer in if it's still a go. Thanks! Luann
