Has anyone else experienced a substantial increase in gas mileage after installing the FL-XIED-10s.

I installed them in my otherwise stock 2015 freewheeler and saw an increase in gas mileage from around 32 mpg to between 39 to 40 mpg. I also seem to have a lot more power and way better throttle response

I have the FL-Vied-10s on my 2014 TriGlide. I added them when I decatted my stock head pipes. My MPGs stayed about the same (36-38 mpg). I use approx 62.5% setting. I have a way cooler running TG. :D

I have the FL-VIED-10s also set at 62.5%. My MPG stayed the same, around 32 - 33 MPGs running 60 - 65 MPHs. If I stay around 55 MPHs (not very often) I may get 35 MPGs.

PS They did not do anything to cool the engine. Head temps and oil temps remain exactly the same as they were before I put them on but the mileage increase was great. Test were taken at speeds of 60 to 70 mph over a period of 250 continuous miles. power increase again was noticeable.

Check D K Customs for info page. My Freewheeler was a Beta tester for ALL D K Customs packages including the X ieds. They work but the Tuner D K sells is IMO the best see my results then U decide

I bought my XIED-10s from DK Customs. I am pleased with them but it did not cool the motor at all. I am not complaining I just said the motor was not cooled but I am happy with the milage

PS Dk Customs are a pleasure to deal with

You guys must have the newer version:Shrug: Got no adjust on mine ? I lost mileage but the less heat and performance , makes up for mucho fun. Don't care about mpg as it's not my primary ride. It's a sickle . :scooter:

Installed the 'FL's in my Freewheeler and wife's Tri-Glide after installing CFR Megaphones to fix startoff hesitation and backrap. Did both very well. The mufflers are very free flowing and caused the engine to run leaner than usual. These made the mixture richer and eliminated the hesitation and back rap.

Every bike is a bit different from the factory...then there is the difference in air cleaners, exhaust, riding style, gas, etc.

Most notice the engine cool down a bit, some more than others.

Everyone notices more power and/or the elimination of the low rpm hesitation.

Many notice an increase in MPG, some do NOT see an increase in MPG...playing with the extra power will yield a decrease in MPG.

The jump you got is anomalous. Never seen or hear of that big of a jump. Usually it is in the 1-2 mpg (all else being equal).

I now have over 2,000 miles ( total 36,000 miles on bike) since I have installed the FL-XIED-10s. My mileage is up from 32 mpg to 39 mpg consistently. I have filled up over 10 times. I always fill up at around 160 miles and I fill the tank each time so it is level with the bottom of that little cup in the filler. I zero out both my speedo and my Gps each time so I know my findings are accurate. I ride mostly highway as I live 30 miles from the nearest town. I drive between 60 and 65 mph. some times single and some times double, My mileage is the same either way. The only modifications I have are Screaming eagle cannon slip on mufflers, external breather set up and a second 10 row vertical mount Jagg oil cooler in line with the factory air cleaner also the DK air wings that work great once they are adjusted properly (which takes about 30 adjustments to get them perfect. My oil temp never gets over 204 F and my rear cylinder temp stays at 289 F after the motor is warmed up no matter what the ambient air temp is (the hottest it has been this year is 89 F) even after a 2 hour ride at 65 with two people. Those temps were the same before I put the XIEDs on. I think I lucked out with this freewheeler as I have had no warranty issues at all (knock on wood)

Those are some Great numbers, and a great increase in MPG! I'm with you, enjoy it! Every bike is different, and your's is in a great way!

I know when Jack talked about how he was getting in the 50 MPG area on his 2017 FW, more than a few folks did not believe him (maybe they still don't? :) )

But when I rode it for a few days, I was getting right up there to...saw it with my own eyes. Dunno why or how, but it is running strong, AFR is good (we had it on a Dyno with a sniffer) and it was getting in the mid to high 40's with my riding it semi-aggressively.
