Hi I just got my first Triglide( new to me 2014) been riding for about 40 years on two wheels this is a strange ride nothing feels right. Old habits . Knees dont work well any more. I go by Tangnuts (mustang nut)

Welcome from San Antonio, Texas. You will enjoy your trike after a few more miles, trust me. Actually, I have never even been on a Tri Glide, but I do have a Freewheeler.:Dorag:

Welcome to the group

I know it seems strange but it gets better quickly Motorcycle they are not but these things are a great ride. The trike takes the pucker factor out of a great deal of things two wheelers deal with daily. Wet roads with oil gravel elevated Intersections etc. You will be loving it soon use the advanced search block for some interesting reading. Or ask a few questions these people are more than glad to help they sure helped me. :good: ride safely Fred

bumps

I seem to be having trouble avoiding bumps used to just go around the chuck holes now either front wheel or back is going to hit it. put 500 miles the first week getting better but not used to it

Welcome to the world of 3 wheels on the ground...There isn't too many chuck holes you can avoid... With two wheels you can just weave around them...With 3 you avoid one and hit the next, Nature of the beast.....

heart

Welcome. As its already been said "the more time in the saddle the more fun it becomes." I have fun watching the two wheels trying to keep up in all the curves. It just warms my little heart to leave them behind. Ride Ride Ride, you soon will have that big grin and wonder why you didn't do it sooner

I got a little over 4K on mine over 2 years, and it's just now starting to feel natural to me. Of course I rode on 2 wheels for over 40 years before making the switch. But I'll tell you, as of now, I wouldn't switch back to 2 wheels. As Fred said, being on 3 takes a lot of the 'pucker factor' out of a lot of situations. And....

:welcome: to TT Angelo!

That trike will start to feel right after a few hundred miles. Parking lots and figure 8's will help.

Yep, the holes have eyes!!!! They just seem to jump out in front of you on a trike! But it does get better, trust us! It's fun now just to see if I can get the hole to go between the front and rear wheel and never feel it! Oh, and BTW welcome to the forum!!!:clapping:

Hello Angelo and welcome to the Trike Talk family from Missouri. At first we all had the same problems, but give it a little time and you will ask yourself why did I do the sooner.

Welcome Tangnuts... I've got a 2014 TriGlide as well. I agree, felt totally different and wrong coming off 2 wheelers... but give it 500 to 1000 miles and you'll never look back! Enjoy the ride once you get comfortable.
