New to the forum

Welcome to TT Richard!

Look at, and ride, as many conversions that you can. All of the major manufactures make solid kits. It comes down to the FordChevyDodge discussion that has been around for many years.

Well i am certainly old enough for the trike talk. Does anyone trike their bike out and not get the front end raked. I am hearing that it is both expensive and maybe not so necessary.

thanks

Triking a bike seems like a lot of money to spend, now i am considering trading it in on a new one. I hate it when i get to nickles in my pocket, i keep trying to spend them.

Welcome aboard.

Hard to say which way for you to go. Conversion, Used trike or new trike. There are pluses and minuses for each. Then you throw in what you like.

Conversions are pretty much all good companies at least the major ones. The installer is what makes the difference there. A great conversion in the hands of a poor installer can be a real problem. Between the conversions its what you want to spend for what different systems and designs. A lot is what you like and who you get to install. Raking the trees on a conversion is really almost a must do. There are trikes out there that didn't and most wish they had. For the most part the trike can be raked later if you buy a used one that needs to be raked. For the most part it is at the other end of the conversion.

Used trike is what you see is what you get. You got decide if the trike is in good condition and has no major issues.

New well again it depends on what you like. You might be a die hard Harley guy which means you have 2 choices. New has warrantees so can be a lot less worries.

If you plan on doing a lot of distance riding the dealer network might be a consideration.

Good luck
