Info of 143 Million People Stolen

If they steal my mustache I am gona be MAD:D

Seriously, some one hacked my wifes info and all of her co workers last year a corporate credit card to boot

Too many people want your social security number and they really don't need it. I'd like to see an end put to these organizations and their poorly maintained security. You're told to safeguard your social security number, but how can you when others are careless with it. These people should be held responsible for the breach of information and shut down.

A driver's license or state ID should be sufficient.

I saw that this morning:

Three senior executives, Chief Financial Officer John Gamble, President of U.S. Information Solutions Joseph Loughran, and Rodolfo Ploder, president of workforce solutions, sold stock worth almost $1.8 million in the days following the company's discovery of the hack, potentially the largest in history.

A spokeswoman for Equifax said the men "had no knowledge that an intrusion had occurred at the time." After news of the hack broke, the company's shares fell 13 percent and "Equifax" became the number one trending topic on Twitter.

Now, you're telling me that three top execs didn't know about the biggest hack in history for DAYS after it happened? I'm calling BS...

I agree it does sound like BS. Dump the stock and get out before the :hitfan: and the people begin filing class action law suits.

All three of these third party services hold 'Our' personal data and are careless with it. They need to be held accountable and 'We' should be allowed to remove 'Our' information from their control.

Yup,but they hold the cards and no one can stop them now

They wont give me my mustache back either

Just kidding, no one should hold that much power and control PERIOD

Hopefully each of you had your SS# locked down so no one can use it for anything fraudulent. I've had mine locked for a while and wanted to do something recently that involved a company checking my credit and I'd forgotten about the 'freeze' so the company had to stop what they were doing and call me and have me 'unlock' my freeze for a short period of time so they could check me out. Cost me $10 for the credit reporting company to do that, but I know the system works to keep people away from private info.

PC

Now that's frightening, that mine and your personal information they're playing with. They need to be shut down and hopefull Transunion and Experian will get the hint not to do the same.
