Tour Pak Auxiliary Power Port

It sounded like a very handy and easy installation. The directions provided however are not clear to me and I really cant find the "four way accessory connector"it says to connect to. I have the power port mounted in the tour pak but cant figure out where it is suppose to plug in.

HD part number 91671-10. This is on my 2013 TriGlide. I hate working on electrical systems.

Thanks

I put one of these on my 2015. If I remember right, the connection was under the seat. But, it might of been under the liner of the tour pak. The one under the seat might have been for the luggage rack LEDs or vise versa. Dang I hate getting old and forgetful.

Well I went the old way direct to battery, 12 gage wire so I would not have overload problems in the future inline fused just off battery. Easy to do and safe for the machine as well as accessories :Coffee: The liner is easy to remove and rubber grommet is plenty large for more wire to snake through. I only had to place a hole in the liner and pull it through from the Tour Pak  Fred

I put one in my 2014. You have to remove the tour pak liner and the connector is under the aluminum plate. Fish it out with a wire. Very simple.

Found it, finally. Under the seat where it was supposed to be. I just needed to be a bit more confident in my digging through the wires.

There seems to be a number of differences between '13 and '14up.

I hard wired mine connecting to the battery and a ground. This way there is continuous power to the plug. Connecting it thru the "4 way" you only have power if the bike is on. I can leave my phone, iPad or such plugged in over night or while stopped to eat and it continues to charge even though the bike is not running. While camping at Sturgis I can plug my stuff in the tour-pac and lock it up over night and it's charged the next morning.

Of course your trike may not start the next morning but you can call for help on your fully charged phone :Joker3:.

+1

That's the first thing I thought of too.

I've gone on many week long vacations and not once did I have to recharge my phone.....or anything else for that matter. I charge all my stuff before leaving and I bring along my old camera as backup (never had to use it yet).

I try to stay off the phone while on vacation - it is a vacation after all. :D

Never in 4 years has that been an issue. Considering the small amount of amperage they both pull your battery would have to be trash to began with. I keep my bike on a Battery Tender at all times when ever I'm not riding.

But now that you've brought it up it'll probably not start this afternoon. Ha!! :p
