TENNESSEE TOI CHAPTER MEMBER oldman visited me at my Junk Yard yesterday on His newly acquired Honda Reflex 250 Scooter. He's discovered what most all Scooter Owners already know..."These Things are Really Great Fun, and Cheap on Gas and Maintenance"...so look for Him to be showin' up in future skuuter Trike and Scooter photos....Now, The Man and His Machine.....

I have a friend that rides a HD and HD trikes as far back in the early 60 and said he would not be found dead on a SCOOTER. Guess what he road mine saturday was gone so long i was getting worried about him. when he came back he was all smiles but said nothing. He called me and asked me to go tomorrow to look at scooters. So he liked it better than he thought. SUPRISE SUPRISE

Yep...Like I've always said...You can't ride a Scooter and not have Fun...then You stop at a gas pump and the grin gets even bigger.....ThumbUp

I've put in long term, over 600+ mile days on Scooters just as easily as on Motorcycles and Trikes (even on the 125 I have now)...even did 300+ miles in a day on a 50cc Ruckus three times.....:D

Most guys dont realize how far scooters have come. The "maxie scooters", formerly considered to be 400cc and up, have been joined by the new breed 125 & 250 cc scooters. The advent of fuel injection, ceramic coated piston & cylinders, 4 valve heads, lighter weight, better design and hi-pro tires, lets them easily hang with the 400 & 650 maxies. Yes thats hard to believe, but believe it! The current crop of 125s will hang with or out run/out handle the previous 250s and the newer 250s will hang with the 400s & 650s all day long. I can cruise 75-80 all day long or stick with all most anyone in the twisties on my (Marge's) 250 without a problem. All you have to do is drive one and you'll be a believer!

P.S.- Mine will be at TTR-V this year.

Yep, my Honda PCX125 catches and passes Larger Scooters, Motorcycles, Cars and Trucks all the time in the twisties, and cruises all day at about 65 mph...amazing where They have taken the Small Scooters in Performance and Reliability.....Glad You're breakin' in Marge's Scooter for Her...Good Husbands are hard to find.....ThumbUp

Doesn't look like a scooter, but it is . My CF Moto V3.. 250cc ( Honda rebel clone motor ) tucked under the seat CVT tran. Top speed 72MPH. 67 MPG. I have ridden 60 miles with a bunch of diehard Harley guys. Keeps up with the bikes with 5X the cc & HP. Great Fun. Have to post a picture later.

Good Stuff John....I ride my PCX125 Honda Scooter with Motorcycle Folks all the time...twisties get to be a real "equalizer"......ThumbUp

I am finishing up a conversion for my wife's Silverwing scooter...with 2 wheels it could keep up and sometimes pass my Goldwing trike and I am anxious to see the performance and fun with three wheels.
