As some of u may remember last year I built a homemade outrigger design & installed it on a Suzuki Intruder. I rode it some but wasnt totally pleased with the way it rode, was planning on tweaking things during the winter. Well along comes a young fellow who loved the Intruder but not as a trike, so we worked out a deal, he traded me his 2002 Vstrom ( that I knew needed work) and some cash for the Intruder. After spending some time working on the repairs to the Vstrom I had made a nice bike out of it ! Then the light bulb went on....I decided to modify the outrigger to fit the Vstrom. A couple days of fab & welding (im 70 and SLOW) and it was ready for a test drive. Did much better on this bike than the other for some reason or maybe I had not tweaked it enough on the intruder.....Im attaching some pics, u will see Ive tryed to keep the rear bike tire pretty well hidden with double rear fenders & some sheet metal work. Still have some trim to add !
