New Tow Pac owner

CBLACK>> How is the mat attached to the kit? My husband has stuff like that at work. Think I'm gonna try that myself. Hope ya don't mind me copying you! Thanks for quick response! LOU

well believe it or not they used liquid nails to glue a 1/4 piece of wood to the tow pac frame (just to raise the height and make it flat) and then glued the plastic down to the wood strips with liquid nails, works great even a 70 mph it stays there.

For anyone that has tail lights on their towpac, if you use LEDs do you need any kind of relay in order for them to blink at a normal speed? Also where did you get the lights?
thanks
Owen

I dont have tail lights on my towpac, just reflectors, due to my 11 inch hard saddle bags and my cargo box has lights, plus the original blinkers are on my bike still.

My led lights are from Tow Pac (I think). I bought it used. They connect to my trailer wiring harness that has the extra trailer plug as well. The trailer wiring harness is hard wired to battery and connects to wiring under the trunk pan (Goldwing).

I added LED lights to my Tow Pac Insta Trike and spliced them into the original bike lighting... They work fine and draw so little current, I wouldn't worry about the minute increase in current draw...

Your rig looks great Dan and I also find that I really enjoy mine on my 1800... I just rode mine 650 miles from my home in Illinois to my new home in Tennessee... I had the bolt on the left lean stop break loose and I had to readjust it when I got to my destination in Tennessee but that was no big thing... I am learning the dynamic of all the adjustments on the trike kit, but have not had a lot of time to play with it since we are in the middle of selling the Illinois house and getting moved in at the Tennessee house... I will report back when and if I have any bits of learned knowledge to report on...

In the mean time, I am enjoying the ride with the trike kit on... I still do rode my bike on 2 wheels as well but the Tow Pac Insta Trike is doing everything I want it to at a considerably less cost than a full trike conversion...
