I was looking around at replacement batteries for the Freewheeler today ( I know, I'm strange)

I came across this battery on Walmarts website & went to the company's website to research them.

This particular line of batteries has a 4 year warranty. I could not believe it, but its true. I contacted the company.

Months 1-35 are full replacement & months 36-48 are 50% pro-rated.

The company also offers batterys with a 2 or 3 year warranty.

Here is a link to the battery on the company website for a good price ($118), but Walmart had it for less ($95). A little Google research should reveal a coupon code for the companies website.

I can almost always find them.

Use a battery maintainer all the time and you won't need a new battery for years.

BTW, my OEM battery was 10yrs old and still going strong when I sold my Wing:clapping:

That is great advice & I always do.

The newer Harleys are making that easier, as they come from the factory with a charging wiring harness already attached to the battery.

A nice feature.

Not a bad price

I agree to keep it on a tender

When I park it for the night, I plug in

IMO the MOCO should have had the pigtail years ago

I agree. It probably cost them a buck or 2. Those pigtails are cheap.

If I had been running Battery Tender, I would have given them a bunch & said put them on all new bikes/trikes & their tender sales would have jumped.

Battery Tender could have even included a coupon since there are other brands available.

Looks okay? I have used ODYSSEY PC925LMJ a little more expensive but has a metal jacket for use on Harleys to prevent case expansion due to High heat!? 28amp hr 330 cold cranking amps. I have one thats 11yrs old and still starts Polaris 500. A trickle charger needs to be higher than 1.5amp or a 3amp I think? I don't use a trickle charger on this battery; I use an 8amp car charger about every 3 months if it sits that long. My last one was $150 shipped off ebay. Its in a 2000 flhtc with high compression 103. Needs this battery to crank the high torque starter! it's 3 yrs old still going strong never on a trickle charger! To me they are worth the extra $$

lowest price I found now is $169.99 but I would still buy it! Look it up read its features and warranty info.

The Banshee battery I originally posted on is $75 less & double the warranty.

I was not trying to start a "which battery is better" thread, but just posting a very good battery with the best warranty I have ever seen at a good price. There is always something better for more money, but I am a good value for the price type of guy.

You live in Arizona & don't start your battery at 0 degrees Fahrenheit, so you are never seeing the cold cranking amps.

Glad you like the 1 you bought.

Battery threads to me are alot like oil threads

Everyone has an opinion and has the right to it

Posting here is IMO to share our knowledge and pass on info to help others

that said, I READ TOO MUCH and I do enjoy a good conversation;)

I hear Ya I needed the 900amps for 5 sec to get the high torque starter spinning it works in 105deg and the 26deg we had last wed. It's supposed to start a small block chevy but???. The Banshee will probably work just fine! I still have the stock harley batt in my 2015 Freewheeler havn't tried the Odyssey in it but thinking about switching it in to see how it spins the stock engine!?
