Press Release: Thoroughbred Stallion Production
2012-09-28: For Immediate Release

Thoroughbred Motorsports, Inc., sister company to Motor Trike, Inc., is pleased to announce it is rolling forward with full production on the Stallion. As previously announced, deliveries will begin in October.

Lots of exciting things are happening with both these companies as Motor Trike continues with new product development and production as well.

“We are very excited about the return of the Stallion and aim to continue to provide solid and dependable products across the board.” stated Wayne Tompkins, VP.

The Stallion is a truly original trike that was designed and built in the USA. The Stallion was created for riders desiring more comfort and ease of operation while still enjoying the trike riding experience.

"BIGDOG" Fred maybe you will have your new one by January.

Well it's about time, my scheduled delivery date is 10/24 :Excited:pepper. I am really itching to get my hands on it, lots of plans. Now I'll be on three wheels for the Snowbird Welcome Rally ThumbUp, I was concerned!

Yeah pepper I'll have my Stallion :Excited:. It's been a long 15 months of not being able to ride. Thanks to TBMS for getting the Stallions back in the market!

I can only hope that they fly off the showrooms around the country! We need more Stallion members out there! :10:

Rich, there will be no drivetrain changes to the Stallion at this time. These Stallions will be the "same" as the 2010 units cosmetically and mechanically.

somewhere in the 850 to 900 range just a educated guess.
The highest Vin number I have seen is in the upper 800's
Made sometime in 2013
No idea on if they will be making more. The drive train was a 4 cylinder 2300 Ford Ranger drive train no longer available in the USA. Been over 2 years and not even a hint of a different drive train being fitted. I do not believe that TBMS thinks there is a large enough demand to make it worth the costs of retooling. My guess is no.

2013 Stallion #845

Mine is a 2013, production number #845. Just bought it from original owner a couple weeks ago...can't wait to "get down the road" on it!

The 2.0 Focus engine was discussed as an alternative power plant after the 2.3, but fitting it to a rear wheel drive transmission presented costly problems...in all likelihood, the Stallion is probably forever relegated to "Classic Status".....:(
