TRIKE TALK RALLY IN THE VALLEY V "Tentative" GROUP RIDE ROUTE...

OK, at this year's TRIKE TALK RALLY IN THE VALLEY V I'll be leading a Group Ride on Friday only. This will leave the other days open for Everyone to do other activities, rest some, and mingle and socialize with the other Great TRIKE TALK and TOI Members. This Ride will be the "OFFICIAL" one, but as most that have met me can attest, I will be riding somewhere every day, and Everyone wanting to can go with Mitzie and I on any other day are ALWAYS welcome also. We usually find some interesting roads, scenery, food places or visit "old favorites" each day. I'll have some other Great Routes you can do on Your Own or with Your Friends that You should find entertaining.....ThumbUp...Here is a "Rough Draft" of where You'll go on Friday...I'm still trying to narrow it down to which Lunch Spot I use. With Trikes taking up quite a bit more parking area than 2-wheelers, I'm gonna' visit Them soon on a Ride for a "measurement"...Lunch INFO as soon as I can...."ROUGH DRAFT"...

You'll leave Maggie Valley via the Blue Ridge Parkway into Cherokee, NC on 441...next, We'll travel through Bryson City, NC using 19/74, then a left onto twisty 28 into Franklin, NC...once in Franklin, we'll pick up twisty, entertaining Wayah Road over to 74 in the Nantahala Gorge..."Chosen Lunch Stop" will dictate Right or Left here, but the next leg of the Ride will take us into Robbinsville, NC via 129...then 129 over to the Deals Gap Store using "The Dragon" to head out on...next across the Scenic Foothills Parkway using 321 to take us to Townsend, Tn...73 to Little River Road which will twist along the River the whole way...then it's 441 through the Smokies Park. Traffic will dictate whether I backtrack the Blue Ridge Parkway or use 19 back to Maggie Valley.....this is an entertaining Route, and lets You get a pretty full picture of the Area You'll be visiting in June...it is also an "ALL DAY RIDE", and I'll run a Pace comfy enough for even the least experienced Riders to have Fun...we will even "tip-toe" The Dragon...so make Your Plans to ride that day...You'll have a Great Time.....ThumbUp***

*** I'll post "Turn-By-Turn" Directions at a Later Date like I did last year, and bring Copies...:)

Sounds like another exciting ride just like last years. Hoping that we don't have the rain again this year. Then again, it never rains on a biker :)

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I will be leading a ride on Sunday, June 24, 2012, everyone is welcome to join. I'll be leaving about 9:00am and taking BRP to 19 thru Bryson City then rt28 South into highlands, nc rt64 east to brevard and stop at the hawg wild bar-b-que for lunch then 276 back to maggie valley, about 165 mile day.

I'll look into the garmin thing for those that want the garmin file.

Bandit, we rode that route last year for the first time. i can't believe I have over looked it with all the thousands of miles Ron and I ride that area. If we can get up early enough, will try to ride with you. I learned a lesson on that ride...Never turn off your helmet camera! I didn't realize that after leaving the BBQ joint, the best was yet to come. I don't remember the name of the BBQ place, but I think we are probably talking about the same one.

Skuuter, I think we were at the NC BBQ. We made a right turn and it was about one mile or so down the road on the left. Gravel parking lot. It was kinda funny watching those big boys getting help backing their two so they could get out of their parking space. I mean some really big dudes..not fat "big". They didn't let their manly pride get in their way! ;)

Then you'll love the TrikeTalk/TOI rally, sidecar!!!! :D We've got a great family of members, and the rally is a wonderful family reunion! We "kick a few tires", admire all the gorgeous and unique trikes, tell a few tall tales, and form a lot of fast friendships. Looking forward to meeting you.
