anyone own a 2012 Victory CCT with Motortrike Vortex conversion?

I have a chance to pick up a 2012 CCT with only 1700 miles. Would be considering a trike conversion.

Would like info on the Motortrike Vortex kit? Pros/cons?

Thanks

I'd be concerned that Polaris won't be supporting Victory much longer, since their announcement to stop producing the brand last year.

IF the price more than makes up for the impending lack of parts & or service, maybe it would be ok for awhile or until something major is needed in the motor.

Adding a few thousand$$ trike conversion kit doesn't sound like a wise investment, to me.

If you're seriously considering this bike, I'd just ride it as a 2 wheeler as long as mechanically feasible, again, if it was me...

They claim 10 years of continued parts & service support.

2012 is already 5 years old. Does that mean only 5 more years of support for that particular model year or?

Too many unanswered questions in that factory statement.

I'd check with a Polaris/Victory dealer to see how far back they currently produce parts for their Victory cycles, before I lay my hard earned cash down...

I'd hate to see my friend get in over his head on an "orphaned" brand vehicle.

It does have 1 thing going for it in that it only has 1,700 miles. Unless those miles were logged on it 1/4 mile at a time, it should go a lot longer for years to come.

I did however buy a Mercury in February for my wife. Since the drivetrain is basically Ford, I wasn't worried about mechanical parts availability.

Most of the body parts are also interchangeable with the Ford counterpart, so no worries on that buy for my wife.

Sorry no info on the Motortrike Vortex kit.

Good luck on your decision Dennis.ThumbUp

If the purchase price is good for you...go for it. The motor is bullet proof. The factory will have replacement parts for while. Lloydz and KMC are both in the Northeast and are Victory aftermarket pro's.

MotorTrike I've no experience with. CSC is what we run.

Pete, that is a consideration I have been mulling over however Yamaha no long makes the Venture and I'm riding that!! Plus it's an 09' so if that theory is correct, I will run out of parts for the Venture before parts for the Victory...

Several other issues come into play which I will tell you about if we ever get to ride this summer.

I'm ready to ride almost anytime. The foot of snow we got yesterday is about 3/4 melted in my yard today, so by next weekend I'll be out, good Lord willin'!

PM me when your up for a ride...:clapping:

We have a 2011 with the MotorTrike Vortex conversion. The bike had 3500 mile +/- when triked. We've put about 13, 000 mile on it the last 4 years. We've taken 2 vacations on it, the first to Arkansas, and the second to South Dakota & Wyoming.

In addition to the trike, we have a 2010 Vic Cross Country bike that we've put 23, 000 miles on. So far, maintenance free on both Vic's. Like most, I was disappointed when Polaris discontinued the Victory line, but I love the bikes, and have no concern continuing to own them, ride them, or spend some money upgrading them. I buy bikes to ride, not as an investment. Your mileage may vary.

Any specific questions, let me know.
