Question for Accuride System owners

Builder

I had to go to the first post to see what this is all about, you've been more than patient thru all this and if an installer has ignored you that much for asking a question, he's doing it intentionally ignoring you, once you visit them and if not satisfied contact Roadsmith and complain about him and see what they do for you, if they list someone as an installer they should get involved.

Hey I'm 30 minutes from Springfield, should meet for lunch in a week or so

Frank,

I'm all over that meet for lunch, I'm now R-E-T-I-R-E-D, and all I have is time on my hand, Let me know when and where...hey I just thought of something, this is weird, I'm only 30 minutes from where you live also, now that's strange! LOL

yesterday I had a friend that weighs approx 230 lbs (yep a big boy) sit on the back of my bike to see if I heard any sounds of a shock motor working... NO sound what so ever! so I know it's not working...

I'm confused. I thought from one of your previous posts that you were not sure you had the Accuride System installed. From this post it appears you determined that you do. Am I correct?

I'm confused as well, but I just subscribe until the final episode. I've posted many times how I'd like 'smooth out' the rides over those bumpy roads, but I've decided it's just me and not the RS. Heck I almost bought a Spyder RTL that has a suspension I've been looking for, but Spyder has it's warts, and I just could not bring myself to make that financial sacrifice.

I do not see what you have told me. and have "e" mailed my builder (I'm getting pizz'd off now because he is not answering me or returning my e's) I'm calling him, NOW via landline, and of course being very nice on phone, talking to his staff, and he always seems to be very busy w/ever I call, BUT has of yet, NOT called me back (it's been a good number of weeks now, and no call back....When I call I'm always very, very nice on phone, and never any harsh words, ALL PLEASE & THANK YOU's (I've called maybe four times/BUT he's always too busy to speak to me)

The funny part of this is, BEFORE I had him do the "rebuild", he was always there, never busy, and got to phone faster then a speeding freight train.. He's maybe 2 1/2 hours away from my home, and it's now too cold to ride up there on my bike.. Now that I'm typing this again, I think I'll give him another call ,of course being nice, and see if I get him to speak...If I have to ride up there, I will just have to pull out my "heated clothing" and enjoy the ride.... Life is good!!!

Mike, "thanks" for your help! ThumbUp

I really had to laugh when I read this post. I’ve heard this story many times, myself included. DblTrbl has also had issues with the same builder. A matter of fact, I need to call him again to deal with an issue I am having. He is also about a 2 1/2 hour ride for me.

An experience with a "don't care" builder can cause so much grief that it makes owning an expensive machine unpleasant. Just a general statement, don't know this builder, don't want to, it would cause me lack of sleep.

Count me in with the installer issues. If Roadsmith hadn't been so good about supporting me I would have probably sold it. My problem was/is that since the installer screwed up so many things in 2011 that I would not take it back to him and fixed it myself with Roadsmith's help. I will never buy another trike he has built.

Sadly, a bad builder can give the best brands a bad name. Surprised that RS will even ship this guy a kit.

In all fairness, I think I got the one bad apple in the barrel; at least according to what I've heard. Yes, others have had some problems but overall I guess he's done an adequate job. My problem is I stated when I sat with him and discussed the options, etc., I was very explicit that I was much more interested in the quality than being in a hurry to get it; just do it right. Guess he didn't understand what that meant.

But, that was several years ago and I now have 70,000 miles and many good memories.

YEP! Same builder as Dbltrbl had, I was always very happy with him (the builder) and always recommended him, BUT now I'm beginning to see the "light" and starting to think very different....I had spoke to Dbltrbl via emails, but at the time, I did not have any trouble as of yet, now that I need him, (the builder) to please "do the impossible" and just send me a copy of my receipt (that's all) his customer service, is true'ly lacking, and I'll soon let the world know how bad he really is... (note: I've asked the builder to please send me a copy of my receipt and prices paid for each item, for my insurance company records...I've called/and text's approx 6-10+ times for the past 2 months, and so far it's been a NO GO!! How hard is is to make a copy and send it to me?????????????????

Hey guys - sorry to be naive about your experiences. Can you please PM me with who this dealer is? Especially BurnerBoy, as it seems you and another customer had issues with the same dealer.

**New Hampshire** (here's a good hint)

PS I still have not heard from him, after many, many calls and e mails........Now i'm beginning to get a bit upset, and frustrated...BUT the funny part of this all is that I always recommended him and his company, and always spoke nicely when speaking to the owner....:xzqxz:

Your fuse is much, much longer than mine!

Well I'm back, and still have not heard a sound with this air pump.......

What I did was to take a ride up too New Hampshire. (hint where he's located ) to ask him to show me how this air system works.......He took it for a ten minute ride, came back and said it worked fine, and had the fuc#ing balls to charge me $90.00.. for his time...................I will never recommend this dealer to anyone again...

It's a shame cause I ride with many other Goldwings, as well as with many chapters of Harleys, and many ask me where I had my Roadsmith trike built..I can either answer with

New Hampshire with a :clapping: OR New Hampshire with a  ...............I love my Roadsmith Trike, BUT the builder is bad and does not handle customer relationship very good!

TOO THE BUILDER: IF YOU ARE READING THIS I SUGGEST THAT YOU SEND ME BACK MY $90.00 OR I WILL CONTINUE TO BAD MOUTH YOU FOREVER You lucky that I don't just say your company name on the internet....

Your fuse is much, much longer than mine!

I Agree with you ' Mike.....To hell with hoping to get the 90$ back by trying to compromise [Nicey-Nicey] by not using his name....Even if he does get it back..

The Builder will make it back [screw] on the next unsuspecting customer ......
