Wife and I get mid to high 39 's on the '09 and the '11. Pretty much stock trikes. Also kind of aggression riders

Wow, that's pretty good. We don't get much over 30mpg two-up and loaded with cargo. Maybe I should slow down?

I typed this on my 'Droid, obviously didn't proof read. Mistake 1 should have read "mid to high 30's. Typo #2 should have typed agressive... or maybe spell check fixed it for me.

We don't ride 2 up, wife has her own trike (the '11). With the exception of slip-ons, stage 1 air cleaner, and a new download the bikes are pretty stock

That makes sense. That's still damn good MPG. Best I ever got was about 32MPG or so on the stage II ECU download after having the SE255s put in.

You have an advantage over the trikes, your lighter and your still driving just the single rear wheel. On my 2010 Triglide I get around 33 - 34 riding on easy 2 lanes not pulling a trailer and 26 - 30mpg running 75 mph 2 up pulling a trailer. My 2006 Ultra classic which was a 95" Head Quarters touring build which consisted of HQ ported heads, 0039 cams HQ CP pistons with compression set at 10.1 and a Supertrapp supemeg tuned with the old SERT got 43 - 45 mpg. I'm presently building a 120" HQ sport build which uses the same HQ heads, HQ 0033 cams, HQ CP pistons with compression set at 10:5.1 and a 55mm HPI throttle body with 5.3 gps injectors. I'll be using the Supermeg with this build and tuning with the TTS, I expect to see 40 - 43 mpg with this build once it has been tuned.

man you would be able to pull a stump out of the ground...LOL

Just got back from seeing Dennis in Muncie,In. 3hrs away. I was bucking the wind going down,27mpg. Coming back with the wind at my back,35.5mpg. Not too bad with a 100hp. Was doing 65-70mph. Temp. was 43-54 going down & 45-50 coming home at 8:00pm.

It should be a hoot to ride, I'll have to post some engine porn when I get started building it. I'm expecting to see the new crank and cases back from Darkhorse Crankworks in a week or 2.

I have a 120 on my evo trike and the torgue is just insane and keeps pulling all the way
thru the range.

Only thing I have found was make sure the starter can handle the cranking and a good battery.

I do have compression releaes also.

Yep, I have compression releases plus the intake close on the cam is 47 which if my figures are correct should put me in the 193 CCP range. I have #4wire for my positive and negative cables.

Oh I know you have this already but get the manual push button at the starter. That dam handlebar starter button for some reason will not pull in the starter I have found in the past at times.

Good Luck!!

Had a long-time rider/mechanic recommend and install a nice Chrome $25 pushbutton on my starter, telling me it won't hurt, and may keep me from being stranded. A few weeks later, starter button crapped out! Walmart parking lot in near 100 degree heat. The little starter-mounted button worked perfectly, and I use it all the time.

I don't have one of those buttons on this bike, I did install one on the Trike. I may sometime get a button and install it on this one also. I shouldn't have a problem starting it, the CCP is actually a little lower on the new build than the one I had in it.

Checked the wife's Triglide today riding Tamiami Trail in the Everglades. Using Sunoco 93 octane cruising 60 to 65 mph. She got 42.5 her 2012 Triglide is stock except for Jackpot dyna tuned slipon's, arlen ness BS a/f and FL-Xied-10's for closed loop enrichment. Very pleased with this mileage!
