I don't have an indian trike yet. I do have a Honda Valkyrie trike.

but I went for a test ride yesterday on an indian csc trike.

heres my question. the throttle response was like a 2 second delay when pulling away from a stand still.

is this normal or was it just not set up right.

I havn't been on a v-twin in probably 18 years. even when twisting the throttle to just rev it up it was like a 2 second delay before it started reving.

Thats not normal , Did you mention the hesitation to the dealer after the test ride.

Theres a chance that he doesn't even know that there is a problem...

I talked to the csc rep that was demo-ing the trike. he was basically uninterested in the mechanicals of the bike itself, just had knowledge of the trike conversion.

I talked to the service rep of the dealer he was set up at, which by the way is a new dealer for indian.

he didn't know much but he said he would look into it.

since I couldn't get a straight answer yesterday, I thought I would ask here.

thanks for the feed back.

Have to agree with Rino-it's not right, shouldn't be any hesistantion/pause.

Appears that several people there are not very knowlegable about their product.

If buying I'd be finding another dealer!

BTW - I'd sure give a BUNCH to have one INDIAN TRIKE....

All the Indians I've ridden or come across have an immediate throttle response. Poor set up for sure. And, apparently, one MUST give a bunch to own an Indian Trike!!!! Haven't seen one for less than $44,000!!!

well i would give them the benefit of the dought, service writers normally don't know that much about the mechanical aspect of things. they are basically just service writers.

he was probably going to ask a technician about the issue but none were availible at that perticular time.

as far as 44,000 dollars. i would'nt have that much in one.

the company i work for has an indian dealership, i can buy a bike at cost.

then i was going to buy a roadsmith whitch i still think you can install yourself.

i could probably get away with 35,000. but that is still a chunk of change.

35 Thousand Dollars here, 45 Thousand Dollars There, And before you know it'! It becomes Serious money....;);)

yeah but you only live once. wife and I decided to not have children so it isn't like I'm spending their inheritance..

but I really don't think I want a 6 year payment book either. so probably won't get one. but its nice dreaming.

I hear you.... I was just paraphrasing Everett Dirksen when he was talking about uncontrolled spending...:)
