I know how she feels. I have hotels on my crap list that I won't stay at. Super 8's just feel like slumming to me. I've gotten spoiled in my job.:party:
 
Room is booked ground floor Super 8
How many are planning on sating at the Super 8
I spoke to Anthony on Thurs. he said he only has 4 booked so far.

Anyone booking online or through a third party (hotels.com, travelocity, etc) is not going to be included in the hotel's "count" for Trike Talk members, so you can't really go by this.

Also, Road Dog and I will be there too, so there's two more trikes. I can't speak for him, but I won't be booking a room because I live so close.
 
I got a few of the grab bag gifts, (6) so far, I don't want to get a lot more till I am sure who is coming . Got 2 trophies, one will be peoples choice, don't think I want to do farthest distance traveled again cuz it will be the same person. Any ideas for what to have it for? Got to think about that. Any one have any other ideas of what we can do to spark up the evening. I just found out check in is not till 3 pm.,check out is 11:00 am Sun.

I will not be staying over we live 15 miles away.
 
John: I think we can solve the problem of the same person winning the Long distance trophy 2 years in a row. Whoever wins the trophy, next year have the Rally within a 25 mile radius of there house.LOL..... trying to get more New Yorkers to make the trip east..........
 
I may still throw in the long distance trophy, because I want to encourage people to ride in. You never know I have someone thinking about coming in from WV .
 
John, if it turns out to be the same person, just make it for the next-longest-distance. I'm sure they won't mind. :D
 
John, since TIS won last year (422 miles) I will just ride to his house and leave from there and then I will have a longer distance then him (430 miles)...:laugh:

If you get someone coming from WVA, let me know, looking for someone to ride up with from Maryland, I could probably connect with someone along the way from WVA....don't want to ride up alone.........thanks!
 
Sounds like we have a good group. I am excited now. Prayers needed now for good weather.

They are holding a block of 18 rooms for us until July 27, then they release the hold. The rate is usually $89 plus tax, our rate is $85 (plus $9.95 tax brings the total to $94.95). Make sure to tell them you're with the TrikeTalk group when you book!

- 99% of rooms have fridges and microwaves - make sure you let them know if you need one of those.
- They have 6 smoking rooms - 4 with 2 beds, 2 with 1 King bed.
- Free Continental breakfast
- Free Wifi
- I told them several members NEED first floor accomadations - be sure to specify if that's you!
- I requested the block be fairly close together to allow socializing after riding/dining.


OB, I'm not sure if they'll still give you the same rate, but mention that you're with TrikeTalk anyway so you can hopefully get a room closer to everyone! :) So thrilled you two are coming too!! ThumbUp

Mary, leo3wheel looks to be about 3-4 hours north of you, and OlBandit about 2-3 hours north. Try contacting one of them to see if you can meet up! :)
