Stinger trailer

Looking at a stinger trailer to haul the trike.

Its a fold up trailer etc..

Looks mighty tempting but what kind of damage would it do to a $35,000.00 Trike if you had a blowout on one of those little tires going down the interstate at 75 mph.

Damage to a bike ?????
All 8 inch tires turn 3 times faster than 15 inch wheels,
in other words your tow vehicle at 70 and your 8 inch wheels doing 210
now feel sorry for the bearings and have a towing service on call

These trailers are pretty convenient for short emergency hauls but over a distance the front of the trike will get beat to death by road debris!! You would have to fashion a shield at the very least. I also agree with previous posts. I have a Stinger trailer and they are great. They track well and are made to go distances with no problems.I think I have a pic on my profile.Works for me. Ken

Hey Ken what will you be towing for???? By that I mean are you doing the tow behind the RV thing? I had a stinger two years ago and it worked well and I never had an issue with it. <br />

I have an enclosed trailer now that I can fit two trikes in so I sold it. The only thing I can think of it that my trike / Bike got dirty while being towed... But, not any more dirty then if I rode it. <br />

I only used it if I was going over 2300 miles one way from CA to IL and I had that thing up to about 70mph with out any problems and put about 7k miles on it before I sold it! <img src="images/smilies/thumbup.gif" border="0" alt="" title="ThumbUp" class="inlineimg" />

I tow with my truck.Chevy Silverado 1500. The trailer is nice and I like that it folds up for storage.
