Anyone have any experience with replacing or rebuilding rear brake calipers on a 1997 Lehman trike? Looking for tips on what to look for when replacing/rebuilding and a recommended brand for new ones. Current calipers are stamped with number 0054 and a Lehman logo.

The brake pads are available for 25.00 each..... Caliper Kits are available for 20.00 each.......complete calipers are also available for 250.00 each. Hope this helps.

@ Lee H. Mann. Thanks for the info. Where are the parts available for these prices? No one in Las Vegas knows where I can go except for auto parts stores. Looking for specific locations where direct replacement parts are available as Lehman has closed their doors in Spearfish, SD.

These particular parts are prioritized (sp) parts and are only available through a Lehman Dealer. Check with your nearest Lehman Dealer. If they don't have them or cannot get them, I can get them and send them to you.

Thanks

Researched Lehman dealers in Las Vegas and came up with a lot of "can't get parts". Would you please give me a call at 702-243-4544 for possibly purchasing parts from you for my Renegade kit. Thanks.

I have a 2006 or so Lehman Renagade kit with drum type brakes. Where can I get brake pads for this?

Do some kits have disc brakes and some have drum brakes?? The OP is talking about calipers, so I assume he has disc brakes on his.

Lehman actually produced three different calipers for their disc brakes on the Harley-Davidson trike conversions. They do not share any parts since the designs are completely different. All are still available through the manufacturers and Existing Lehman Dealers.

It isn't just Vegas... Dallas is one on the largest cities in the world, but I can't find a dealer who can tell me more than "can't get parts." There is exactly *one* guy who is looking, but I think I'd have better luck with you guys.
Any news on this front? I'd raid an O'Reily's if I thought I could find the right brake pads...

Velvet Drive has breaks for the Lehman conversions. 864-843-9231 x129 Ask for Michael.

Velvet Drive produced the rear ends for the shaft drive models after 2004. Richmond Gear produced the belt drive differential housings. Wilwood produced the disc brake (pads) for both models and the calipers for the shaft drive models. Richmond Gear has been acquired by another company and knows nothing of the Lehman product. The prior models were produced by other manufacturers and the brake systems are different.

You need to be a PI to know what is going on here.

This was pretty interesting advice. I spoke with Michael this morning, and mentioned the forum and the issues we're all having. He says that they sell the brake kits for Lehman as a whole (pads, rotors, etc.) and can only deal with actual Lehman dealers. I got ahold of my local dealer (who, interestingly enough, just had another client with a Lehman trike with pad issues just this morning) and put him in touch with Michael @ Velvet Drive.

I am currently waiting to hear back from my guy as to the outcome of the phone call. /fingersCrossed.
