Well for one,I have never been wet to the underwear for 6 straight days and it wasn't from any rain !!
Several damaged bikes one evening from a passing storm on the convention center parking lot,one totalled when a bike hauling cargo trailer blew across the parking lot and the tongue pierced the engine.
Still mamaged to have a good time and was SO happy we were on a trike.

I was there on Wed. and Thur. Had my Trike Talk shirt on Wed. hopeing someone would recognize it,but no one said anything.I did see Poo Pee dog and the golke that she brought with her. There was a lot of people there.

Wing Ding was great this year. The vendors all seemed to be doing good. I looked for trike talk members wearing their Maggie Valley Tees, but never saw anyone. We arrived in Grabill for the kick-off celebration. Pretty country, friendly people, and many wet, wilted Goldwingers!!

We ended up having to change hotels. Our first choice was overbooked due to the rooms being given to the electricians. 2nd choice had no electricity. Finally ended up at a holiday inn expess about 11 miles from the coliseum.

I had baker wings and an F4 windshield put on my trike on Thursday. And on Saturday I had turn signal modulators installed in the trunk spoiler. Now I am all set to head out and have some fantastic adventurers. I rode my trike out of the vending area, parked under the only shade tree left on the grounds, started walking back across the parking lot to the coliseum and somehow  found myself on the ground!! I was and am so mad at myself!! I ended up in the ER and after x-rays the ER doctor confirmed what I kind of already knew--yep, broke my left arm--AGAIN!! If I would only learn to fall on my head instead of my arm!!! Head is harder than arm--really!! Thank goodness we had trailered up to Ft. Wayne. But, if we hadn't, it would have been okay, because JEFF AND DIANE VEY OF MOTORTRIKE offered to take our trikes home for us. The Veys are wonderful people and always go out of their way to give assistance.

We are slowly making our way home. I am beginning to think Wing Dings are not a safe place for me. For those that don't know, I had a wreck 4 years ago on my way to the south carolina wing ding. Totaled my 2004 GW trike and left me pretty banged up. I just got my new trike in May.. My confidence levels are on the very high side and NOW I have to start the waiting game again. Don't worry though, I may be accident prone, but I never give up.

But all said and done-- the Wing Ding was totally a success and we had a good time despite the hot weather and despite the fall.
