Growling sound in curves..

I've noticed a slight "growling" sound and vibration in the handle bars when going around curves at 40-45 mph or more on my trike.. Almost reminds me of a rough bearing. I haven't checked the bearings yet, but the wheel spins freely without and noise or roughness. Anyone have any ideas? Not sure if this is normal with this light of a front end and the narrow tire. I've never run one this light on the front. I've attached a pic of the front end I have.

Can't see what brand of tire you've got on the front from the pic, but if by chance it happens to be a Metzler, they're known to develop a "growl" in turns after a few thousand miles and this is considered normal.

If it's not a Metzler, please disregard and go with the advice that others will offer........

Well, it's not a Metzler. Just checked and it's an IRC... We'll see what else comes up.. It may just be tire noise.

I have noticed a growling sound sometimes when I go fast around corners. By a weird coincidance, I only get it when my wife is sitting behind me and not pleased with my speed.

Bikerbozo, you do better than I do. I get a big poke in the ribs and it hurts dam-it.

Well, it's not a Metzler. Just checked and it's an IRC... We'll see what else comes up.. It may just be tire noise.

Other tires can make a growling noise, some more than others. Pretty sure that IRC's are made by Kenda. The noise seems to be associated with improper air pressure while the new tire is breaking in and cupping of the tire might also be noticed.

Could it be the rear tires rubbing on the fenders?
