Curous to see what kind of mileage people are getting on their H.D. trike tires -
I've gotten 19 thou and 15 thou on my front tires and who knows when the back ones will wear out.
Currently 34 thou on my 2010 and love it

Just turned 9300 miles and the front tire looks ready to be replaced.
A Motorcyclist magazine columnist and my dealer both said 9k to 10k is good for a front trike tire.

I talked my dealer into putting a rear tire on the front in reverse after I told him about TrikeTalk Forum. Now maybe they'll start listening to me when I tell them I read it on TTF. :D

When I do I think I might get the Centramatic balancing ring put on since my dealer is going to have a special price package put together.

I replaced my original front tire at 21,000 miles, could have made a 1000 more. I replaced it with a MT90 rear tire. The rear tire I think handles a little better. Have had it on now for 6000 miles in all kinds of weather, except snow :), and it is no problem.

My dad has 20,000 miles on his original front tire when we swapped it, based on a tread depth measurement I believe he could have gone another 4 - 5,000. His present tire has just a shade over 16,000 miles on it and still looks pretty good. When we get ready to put it to bed this winter I'll be checking the tread depth and we'll decide whether to run it longer or just change it. I'm betting based on the performance of his 1st tire we should expect nothing short of the same 20 - 25,000 life.

Replaced mine at a little over 19000 -- looks like I could have gone another 2 or 3 thousand more but was planning a 2000 mile trip so I changed it out.

Got 15,500 0n first front tire. Second front is @ 20,400 and counting. Have bought new tire but havn't put on yet. Could possibly get a little more, but want to be safe. Have 09 TriGlide.

Just changed my @ 13,000. Could have gone another 3K but I live near Shade Tree Power Sports and with giving them the front tire the bill came to $161.
This included the Harley Dunlop D402-Mounteed and Balanced with RIDE-ON sealant. They talked me into the sealant witch doubles as the tire balancer. Any comments on this Sealer/Balancer? Plan on being a Snowbird again for the second year(OHIO to FLORIDA). Last year the trike saw 6k in 3 months.

I love this site-----RIDE SAFE!!!!!:wave4:

Grayk I have the sealent in both my and my wifes trike. About 8k miles since installed. It's great but i don't know if I have even picked up a nail. The ride is smooth.

My dealer told me to buy rear tires for the front when its time to change. But a couple of you guys are talking about "reversed" rear tires on the front. Can you explain for me? Thanks

they are reversing the tire tread direction when install on the wheel..That is what they are calling reversed..You will see the arrow on the side of the tire for the direction of travel the tire should be installed..they just mount it the other direction..

My brother in law has a 2010 Triglide with over 10 grand on it and the front tire has as much tread as the new one I just put on my ultra. I think it will rot before he wears the darn thing out.
