Installed Cobra 2000 super pro tuner on my 2012 HD trike with amazing results. Could not believe difference in power and mileage. Put the big sucker air filter on and left cat exhaust as stock with exception of changing mufflers for better sound. Super pro is as good as they advertise and can see why it is product of the year. Next project head pipe cat is going to remove heat and no remapping.

RDW, Have a 2012 TG and would like to know how hard it is to install the Cobra?

Never have understood how adding more fuel cools down the exhaust and gives better milage.

Good idea to keep those stock cat pipes as new ones (should big brother ever start to check) are $787 at this time. In 5 years, who knows?

If the AFR is lean and fuel is added to correct it you will see a more efficient running engine, an engine which makes more power will require less effort and throttle opening to do the same work. My 2006 Ultra Classic would get 40 - 43 mpg when I had a 95" engine in it, now it has a 120" engine making 20+ more HP and 38+ ft/lbs more torque and it gets 41 mpg when I ride it sane. Heres the kicker, the 95" engine had a 48mm throttle body with 3,91 gps injectors, the 120 has a 55mm throttle body with 5.3 gps injectors.

A leaner AFR will burn hotter, the heat of the leaner AFR will carry out with the exhaust. There is however a catch 22 when it comes to richening the AFR while a catalytic converter is still in place. The richer AFR will cause more reaction of the catalyst which will increase the heat of the catalytic converter.
