sounds like a possible loose ground

I think Gorilla got it right. Check your battery and battery to chassis ground.

Found 2 loose ground wires. Working well now. Thanks for help.
I doubt that most folks want to do research to find out which make/model are being discussed; best to put it in the thread where the question is being asked. Could be a bad ground. Not hard to check. Second thing to check will be the charging system. Put the probes of a multimeter on your battery while the bike is running. You should see about 13-14 VDC at 3K rpm while revving the bike to that speed with the bike in neutral. If you see less either the regulator/rectifier is bad OR the alternator isn't making sufficient power. If either is bad, checks using a service manual are in order.
