salt lake city, ut
I am going to break away from my usual line of humor, and do a thread about the first trike I built in 2007-2008. This was my first stab at a trike, and she turned out to be a radical machine, that I named "Brain Damage". The name was due to the pain in the butt of getting it together, as well as nobody normal would ever built this- I used to self medicate just like Trent does now!
This project took a full year to complete and here are some specs:
-Frame was designed by me and built by Chopperguys in NY: 13 INCHES UP, WITH A 5 INCH STRETCH.
-Motor built by S&S, 113 inch with high performance heads and a radical cam, polished.
-Tranny was a 5 speed racing, with close ratio gears.
-Front End was a springer custom build by Denver's Choppers in Henderson Nv. It was 40 inches over stock and was over six feet long.
-Rear end was DNA chain drive-limited slip differential
-Paint was candy fuchsia by HOC, with chameleon ghost flames.
The pics really tell the story, I only put about 100 miles on it-it was a handful for sure!!! I sold it 3 months after finishing it because I wrecked my HD roadking, and needed to raise money for medical bills.
My best friend nearly pooped in his pants when he first saw Brain Damage, and his words pretty much explain the phenomenon. He said; "BadAss your balls must be bigger than your brain". TRUE STORY:Shrug:poof

But...but...but... you didn't add a seat for your cute li'l girlfriend!!!! :D
That said, that is one cool trike.

</div>Actually Bill, my ass had no problem, because the seat had hi-density foam with a layer of gel in it. The challenge of riding it, was mostly negotiating turns and meshing with city traffic! U-Turns were a complete b!tch as well, along with being the first trike ever ridden. At 6'5" height I could just barely see over the tank-but that was cool!!!<img src="images/smilies/thumbup.gif" border="0" alt="" title="ThumbUp" class="inlineimg" /><img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />poof

Whoa - nice build, that is one fine looking chopper trike.
You said that was your first trike build. Did you name the next one after "Brain Damage" - "Eclipse"? ;)

</div>Have not named my current trike conversion-it was a pain in the butt as well, but only lasted 4 months. I will post pics of it-I know you guys love pics, and I want to be popular!<img src="images/smilies/smiley-score010.gif" border="0" alt="" title="10" class="inlineimg" />pepper<img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />poof
