Which one did you get? We got the small one, and the dealer let us blast it on the tri glide they had in the shop. LOUD!!!! But you have to get the horn and the installation kit. Stupid! That is why it took me so long to buy it. The dealership gave him a 20% discount yesterday.

I want an air horn that sounds like a diesel locomotive!!!! I listened to the youtube horn, sounds like a mini-car horn.

Is it really worth the money to install an air horn? How many times do you actually use the horn....once, twice a month? Maybe?

Heck...half the time I can't even find the horn button!!! You are right, Barb, but I like to know I have it if I feel like someone is coming over in my lane or maybe will pull out in front of me. I like the freight train horn too, but that would scare me to think someone would be so startled that they would jump and loose control or something. There is a trucker that comes by our farm and he loves to blow his freight train horn at the horses. It scares the crap outta me everytime.

Hey Barb, the amount of times is insignifident, it has saved my butte several times of the yrs, they are surprised to see a bike behind them an not a semi, it readly corrects their stupidness

Air Horn on!! I was not paying attention, reading something, when he blasted the new horn. I bout fell out of the chair!! I played with it. It is loud, loud, loud! So I blipped the throttle and blew the horn just for the fun of it. But not in traffic, yet. Gotta go to a concert tonight and listen to my son's band. No time to ride.<img src="images/smilies/frown.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Frown" class="inlineimg" />

Good points....so, where would I find an air horn that will get people's attention? I don't want drivers hitting the gas pedal instead of the
brake pedal:no:

H-D part # 69423-05 and installation kit (wiring) 69400-05A. C Harley is the cheapest unless you have some points with your dealership on your cc. It looks nice on the bike too.

Mike had the HD one and it always sounded like a very sick cow!!!!! LOL.
He ripped it out finally and installed the Rivco air horn, which is much louder, and he is very happy with it.

hummm...well, so far it doesn't sound like a sick cow! LOL!! But guess it would get people's attention. Like where in the heck is that sick cow???? When I tried my hubbies stock horn after blowing mine, now HIS sounded like a sick cow.

Barb, It only takes once to pay for itself if the idiot 4-wheeler isn’t paying attention and starts to come into your lane!

Stay Safe Out There!!!!

It happened today! We are on a road trip in the mountains of Va. On a divided highway there was a car in front of me going about 50 to 55 in a 65 zone. He went over the center line at least ten times and I knew I had to get past him. So I pulled into the passing lane and started blasting that air horn about 4 times. He left that center line in a hurry and went over the shoulder line. Dumb ass!! At least it was in the opposite direction and I felt like that horn was a blessing!!! I don't care if I did scare him. He was scaring me!

That's the way they work! They get instant attention and that's what you want.

On Sunday, I saw pickup start to pull from a driveway. A blast from the Rivco stopped him in his tracks and I was second in line.

Don't be shy on using it.
