Since a lot of accidents happen because someone runs up your rear-end, I try to make things as safe as possibly. I have added LED's to the rear of mine. What have others done to theirs in the name of "safety". ((At least that's what I tell my better half anyway))

ThumbUp....Weather that's your reason or not , I personally think you can't have to many lights on back . P S LOOKS GOOD TOO ..ThumbUp

Lately, its not the cagers behind me, its the idiots in front of me that scare me. Especially in the city. <br />
Yesterday, had a idiot pulled out from a side street, when I had the green light. Luckily I was ready for it and hit the brakes fast and hard. Guy looks right at me as he blows the red light - not that he really bothered to see if there was any traffic - just he thought he's specials and people should make way for him. I caught up to him at the next light and gave him a little piece of my mind. He said he never saw me. I said - " Im running with brights on, Im wearing a BRIGHT Orange riding vest, it daylight and my trike is a wide as a car and you didnt see me? "<br />
<br />
But I really do like the the LEDS on your bike <br />

Dayum....I think the flags alone would make the "Hogeater" very noticeable...you have taken it to warp six!! Please tell us where you got the lightstrips, and how they attach (tape?)? Also do they need to be grounded or just a hotwire? I am thinking about adding a few small LED lights to my trikes ass.

Having a mystery problem posting pictures - but "thumbnails" still work. <img src="images/smilies/shrug.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Shrug" class="inlineimg" /> First pic is running lights with the newly installed "Peterson" light bar. 2nd is with the brake lights on...

My lights have come from either Autozone or Pep Boys. Just depends on who has them on sale...LOL

I wire them into whatever running or brake light is the closest and easiest access. Making sure NOT to overload. Which is damn hard to do with LED's.

I AGREE WITH YOU! On my last three bikes I installed Headlight Modulators (legal in all 50 states by federal law) and if a cager cant see that, his license should be revoked. I know it works because about once a cager will pull up next to me at a stop light or follow me into a parking lot to tell me I have a short circuit somewhere. My response: "Glad you saw that! That means it's working the way it's supposed to - thanks for telling me!" Many mentioned they had never seen that before and thought it was a darn good idea. I've also had cagers begin a left turn in front of me and suddenly jam on the brakes when they saw the modulators. About $150 installed and worth every penny! pepperpepper

Back in the day (BT) before Trike, I had a 550 Honda all decked out with bags and fairing. I had brake lights , turn signs and running lights on the bags. I got off the highway, a guy pull up next to me and said. " the lights are great ,I spotted you 2 miles back "

Except for losing my Sig Pic and not being able to re-post a new one, I never had problems posting a "pic within a post" until now. I don't know if it's me or the dreaded "bandwidth thing" referred to previously by "management". :Shrug: If you figure it out, let me know. In your case, maybe the system automatically deletes it before it gets posted? :D :laugh: :D :laugh:

I swear by using the 'modulated' headlight. It's an excellent investment in making yourself visible to traffic around you and it costs very little to buy. I won't operate a motorcycle/trike without it.
