My R.S. has a forward rake or set to it. This causes head lights to be way to low to the ground. Head light adjuster seems not to work. Any ideas to get these light up would be a great help as I have yet not received my owners manual or service manual. Trike has a 6% rake on it and steers great.

If using the head light adjuster control has now effect you may indeed have two issues. First thing is to get that control working and then if mechanical aim adjustment is needed you can do it correctly.
The process is a bit tricky so I'd suggest you wait for your service manual or find one to borrow. I'd bet any year GL1800 would work for this job.
Sorry I couldn't help. Wish I had a way to send you pages...

If we are talking about a Gold Wing, auto aim adjuster only works when bike is running I have found. Also, if you have to adjust the headlights, you can do so by simply lying on the ground next to the front wheel (each side separately) and look up. You will see a phillips screw head - that is your adjuster for headlight. You will need an extended phillips, however, adjustment is easy. Do not follow the repair manuals approach - too much work.

There are 2 kinds of adjustments for headlights on the GW. A gross adjustment to aim the lights, as jfingalls said you can get to the up and down with a looong phillips, the right to left is much more involved. The fine adjustment on the fairing is to compensate for load, as when you have a passenger, full trunks, a trailer or such.
