2010 triglide reverse green light always on

Just bought this less than a week ago. I noticed that the green light on on my reverse switch doesn't turn off. It stays on even with the bike turned off. I looked in the manual and have tried to shut it off by pressing the power button switch. It won't go out, am I missing something?

I have noticed on my 2009 that it looks like the reverse light is on, but it isn't. When you push the reverse switch the light comes on brighter than when it is off. Not saying yours doesn't stay on, but this is how mine is. Hi to a fellow Illini.:wave4:

it does go off once you shift into gear..maybe recheck in a dark area to be sure..

Rod69, you are correct. I always thought mine was on also. I still keep thinking it's on.
Very annoying.

learn something everyday... that dark area did the trick. it's not on, but any daylight reflects the light and it appears on. it was actually off, but it is annoying.

You will probably get the same feeling with the tail lights. VERY reflective. I've gone back a zillion times to see if I left the ignition ON. I've had people tell me my lights are on, just a very bright reflection.

Same here, I can't tell you how many times i thought i left the lights on, Glad it's not just me....
