2013 left storage compartment removal?

OK guys, this is for 2013 and maybe 2012 only question. How do you get the trim off the fairing to remove the storage pocket to install a power source? The 2013 and maybe 2012 have new trim and fairing style that is different than previous models. bigred

The trim on my 12 comes off just like my friends 05, it just snaps on. I start at the bottom and work my way up, it even still has that little lip that slides into the slot at the top. I will say it is a real bear to get it to come out.

All the GL1800 are the same. Start at the bottom and sqeeze the inside trim with your fingers. It will pop out and continue on up to the top the same way. Then at the top just raise the trim and it will come off.

Reinstall do it in reverse. Easy as pie.
