:10: TODAY MY DAUGHTER CHELSEA AND i RAN A 370 MILE DAY CRUISING THE WIND RIVER AND TEN SLEEP CANYON RANGES IN THE BIGHORN MOUNTAINS OF WYOMING.

tHE WIND RIVER RANGE IS HOME TO THERMOPOLIS AND THE WORLDS LARGEST HOT SPRINGS.
CHIEF WASHAKIE OF THE SHOSHONE DEDICATED THE HOT SPRINGS IN THE 1800's.

As i understand it, The town of ten sleep was so named because the indian measured time by how many sleeps it took to cross the mountain from the town of present day buffalo, wyoming.
I will have to make two posts to show you pictures so this will be post 1

Folks this an incredible ride and for those who wish to camp, There is no Shortage of places. In the mountain Range.

Bring your swim suit, there are motels that range from the mom and pop to really nice accomodations.
There are two places in Thermopolis to soak your bones in the mineral springs at the end of the day!

Great pictures, Paul! Your daughter looks like she is loving it too :)
Nana, i am blessed with a daughter that doesn't much care what we do as long she can hang out with her old man.
She has a job in the town where she goes to college and her coming coming home is a real treat for me. This will be her last year in college.
She doesn't ask for much of anything and makes her way pretty much on her own.
She's a tough little ****, but a very kind one also.
She can't see herself living anywhere but in the west, but thats a big chunk of real estate, and life just happens to get in the way of all young idealists.
I only hope that wherever the future takes her she will have learned to deal with life on lifes terms.
The gift i am giving her in her early twenties ( my trike when i kick the bucket or can no longer ride it.) ( thats why i built it!) is the means to put adversity, jobs, responsibility etc. in it's proper perspective. A little wind in the face keeps the psychiatrist away and give her the gift of freedom.

Thats enough of a legacy for me!

I know as life becomes more complicated for her the chances of her and i spending time together will become more of a rarity and i plan to enjoy every one i can get!
