What was that noise ?

Well their getting to know me at the Harley shop. It was a little busy there today. Must have been Hit the HD shop day . As I was walking in. I spotted a Tri glide Nice Red one at that..Watched him get on and start it up. Sounded GOOD! But then he put it in reverse :xzqxz: DAMN! What was all that noise about ? He only moved it about 4 ft then rolled forward. It stopped as he moved forward. BUT WOW!!! Is that NORMAL ? ? :xzqxz:

Yep, that's normal. That's what reverse sounds like. Whiney and irritating.

yep thats for sure its the reverse..electric. I am surprised they are not having more electrical problems the way that drains the eletrical system

Yikes! I've never heard the electric reverse on a Harley, but it makes me glad I have the mechanical reverse.

That what it is, And it engages a ring gear.
