My wife simply adores the Hannigan spoiler. She wants it on her Roadsmith. Has anybody done this? It appears that it may be a bit wide. Mighty obliged...

Does the spoiler on any of the conversion kits serve any real function other than appearance?

I can tell you from a reliable source within Hannigan that It ain't gonna happen. They wont sell the body parts to be added to a Non Hannigan kit.<br />

</div>It is mostly cosmetic, and gets in the way of opening either of the trunks, sort of cumbersome.

It does make getting at the latch for opening the trunk a little harder than one without, but IMO I'll gladly deal with that for the looks. Its amazing how many folks crank their heads around to do a double take when I roll buy. I haven't seen any GEN2 Hannigans around here running the Wale tail, so for now I'm uniquepepper.

Really good looking ride.RIDE SAFE

Thisis the first of the second generation I have seen too. Be as it may, my wife thinks the same. It doesn have certain pizzazz to it. We just wish that Roadsmith would have this option.

</div>Thanks, I've been real happy with it and it sure does get the looks. The wife can't believe how smooth it rides.

I know a fellow rider who found a spoiler in the auto salvage lot off of an import, had mounting brackets made of fiberglass and attached it to his California Side Car trike. Really adds to his ride and gets a lot of attention. The spoiler he used already had LCD lights built in. Added more illumination to the rear of his ride.

I had wanted to add a spoiler to the top of my Roadsmith trunk as well. I called Tony at Tony's Trike after seeing a trike he had for sale that did have a spoiler mounted on a Roadsmith. At that time, Tony said that the only spoiler he could use due to the contour of the top of the trunk was the same one that Honda uses on their upper trunk. So with that said, I went the same route that Tony used at the time. (This was last year).

I was going to attach some photos of my Roadsmith from photo-shop but it's saying that the images are too large and I don't have the patience to fool with this computer crap, lol. If you'd like, send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the photos.

Thanks. MRv51. I left you a private message with my e-mail address. Would love to see the pix.

Now that I figured out how to post large pictures from Photobucket, here's 2 shots of the standard Honda upper trunk wing mounted on the Roadsmith trunk. This is what Tony from Tony's Trikes has been doing;
