Greetings to all with wheels of 3! Been sitting in the weeds on this forum for awhile now and thought I should join the group. Actually, I had to join if I wanted to read any more of the posts... Been biking off and on since 1976 when I started on a Suzuki GT 500. Since then I have had a '97 Gold Wing GL1500 until I tasted the kool aid and went to an 09 Ultra Classic - a great move that was!! Made the move to the TG this past spring and absolutely love it. My bride and I had a blast this summer and put on over 10,000 miles until I put it away for the winter in mid Nov. This looks like a great forum and much more dedicated to the 3 wheel crowd than the other forum I belong to... Look forward to being an active member here and gathering as much info as possible from the expertise of the membership...
Is it spring yet...?
Ride safe those fortunate enough to be south of the snow belt!
Hello Doug and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I am somewhat surprised you went from a Gold Wing to a Harley(lets see how many guys get riled up over that comment) but all in all just glad to have you aboard. Nice to see you both put on a lot of miles and that's exactly what these bikes are made to do. Send some pictures of your travels, people here just love them. Ride safe.

Hey Doug...welcome from Newfoundland! Spent a couple weeks this summer in your area...had a blast.
Good to hear you came over from the dark side! LOL!! Great info on this forum and VERY knowledgeable folks...very friendly too! Will be back up your way in early July...nice to hear you like to lay down a few miles! Enjoy!

Really enjoyed the Wing for the 6 or so years that we had it. Never did like the riding position though and my knees and hips would bother me on longer rides. Not so on the Harley but on the other hand, I had to get used to using the transmission more to make up for the lower horsepower. Give and take I guess but we do love the Harley... Will have to learn to post pics and get a few up of our travels - nothing very exotic but we do have fun and that's what it's all about!!
Cheers
Absolutely! Where in New Brunswick are you?
We winter in deep south Texas from late Oct to mid Apr. Could also hook up then on our way home. Have a Triglide down here too, so really enjoy riding all year! Later.

Gotta love year round riding!! Live in Oromocto so I think pretty much on your way back home. Have to get in contact closer to your "return to reality" date... Enjoy your "winter"!
Cheers
Welcome from the Republic of Texas. How's the snowfall there?

Do you really want to know or are you going to make me feel bad with a response about how nice it is to ride all year around??:D Anyway, we just had about 6" and now it is raining and messy. :censored: Come on Spring...

Cheers
Doug

I know precisely what you're talking about. Wintered over flying in and out of Adak Island back in my Navy days. Wet, sticky, blowing snow and six inch deep icy sludged up (if it ever got above freezing) runways. Nasty, just plain ole nasty.
