Trike insurance

Progressive trike at full value. Insured as a trike not as bike with trike attached. Insured with 2 wheelers (2) $645.00 total all 3 motorcycles.

also mediVac flight cost can be 25k for a 100 mi trip. and your normal 500.00 policy is what covers this, so ask what 50k or 100k would increase your cost.some places you can buy specific insurance for this. otherwise if you get into a accident& are lifelined to a throma center you will have to bear the cost.

Well, I had been with Foremost for little over 10 years with 2 different trikes insured through them. Traded my 2006 trike for a 2013 and they jacked my premium from 226 to 374. I decided it is almost time to renew again and also time to look for other insurance. Called Geico and got same coverage and was 199. Needless to say, I am now with the green lizard. trikerider

Geico here. good rates and good service.
a dog ran into me in may of 2013, hit my left rear fender, tried to miss him but could not.
$2500.00 damage and Geico lowered my rates at renewal time in August. they were excellent on service.
hard beat that.

Here in Ohio I signed up with Farmers Insurance this year. They have trike insurance that identifies your bike, the brand of trike and also covers a trailer if you have one. Mine cost me around $265.00 per year for $20K of coverage plus $4K for the trailer. So far, I'm happy with it.

Same as driver10. Progressive with trike insured as accessory. I have not used the insurance but have used the included roadside assistance twice. Both times had a flat on the back of the trike pulling the Time Out camper. They sent out a truck to load us up and take us to a tire dealer and all was well (at no cost to me). Both times we were out of state and didn't have a clue where to go to get repairs. Oddly enough both times it was a broken valve stem on two different trikes. Hope I never have to use the insurance but the roadside service it great!!!

I've been with Foremost since I've had my motorcycle but when I got my new trike, the rates went sky high. So I went with Progressive for the first year of having the trike. Insured it as a bike but then had to add accessory coverage to cover the trike. I thought the rates were outrageous for a 57 year old with never having an accident.

My insurance is due in May so I've been pricing again. I've been quoted by Dairyland, Progressive, Geico and Foremost. For whatever reason, this year Foremost has them all beat by $200 so I'm getting ready to once again switch.

It pays to shop around. Even from year to year in my case.

Getting a a 2014 trike in a month. I got an insurance quote through progressive and it was just a little over 1,000.00 annually. I may talk to AAA and see what they can do. Saw someone say you can maybe get an annual payment at like 277. My quote is way off. Is little over 1,000.00 comparable for most?
