Road Glide Trike Owner's

Ok I have a question for all you that ride a Road Glide Trike.

I hate the stock handle bars, so what are you all using for bars?

Stock bars would be fine on 2 wheels but are terrible for a trike, and more so cause I am 6'4", I am sure.

Mike, a friend of mine had his Road Glide converted this summer, and hated the stock bars as well. He brought it to me for suggestions, and I ended up going to another friend who has an Indy shop, who let me borrow 15 sets of bars he had in the shop. I un-hinged the old bars and rotated them out of the way, and with him sitting on it, we put the bars up there one at a time, until he found the perfect set. Took all afternoon, and several cold one's, but he's happy, and bought the beer, so I'm happy too. Don't ask me what bars they were, as none of them were marked. They kind of looked like mini-apes in a buckhorn style, but, as you already know, no one set of bars fits all. Note that his Road Glide was pre-fly-by-wire throttle, so aftermarket bars were easier to come by. Yes, it was the brute force method, but it worked!

I just had a set of HELIBARS installed. They are very adjustable. A little expensive but they can be adjusted for that perfect fit. I like them.

The bars you have on in your album look like they are from Wild 1"s maybe there glide bars.<br />

Question what were the bars you had before?<br />
Why did you change from them?<br />
How tall are you?LOL<br />
I have been thru this buy, put on take off buy another set thing before!<br />
Just trying to find a short cut this time, as this is a Throttle by Wire bike, and don't think it will like being changed a bunch of times.<br />

My previous bars were Road King 2" pull backs from Harley Davidson. I changed because I have developed a little arthritis in my thumbs and the angle of the bars made my thumb joints sore after about 30 minutes. I am 5 ft 10 inches. I went with the HELIBAR because you can change it to fit yourself.

I have stock Harley Softail Heritage bars on both of my road glide trikes I tried many different types & styles This set works good for me, on my 2 Electra Glides I have klock Works ERGO-BARS they have 4 differennt styles , If I had not spent the time & money putting the heritage bars on the Road GLides I would have tried the Klock Works on the trikes, The price on the Klock Works was not bad & they come black or chrome, Go to KLOCK -WORKS & check em out.
