Hello

I have a real problem with back tires on my 96 Goldwing SE with 09 Roadsmith trike. The original tires were worn bad on the inside at 11 or 12 thousand mi. Had the reversed and in another 10 or 11 thousand mi they were bald. Put on a new set that were rated at 100000mi. Now they are worn bad on the inside in 13 or 14 thousand mi. I put
A framing square on floor against tires and they were 1/2 inch in at the top. I jacked it up till tires were off the floor and they were almost strait up. What can be done to correct this problem. Maybe trade for Hannigan or California Side car. Don't really want to do that as I like the 1500 better than 1800's
My E-mail address brvogtt@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance for any help with this!
Bruce

Something bad wrong here, Bruce. Believe RS will make it right and respond. I would have been in touch with them sooner, those tires plus labor and expensive and should have lasted much, much longer, if the pressure was good.

Just an FYI, we responded to Dirtman on his original post early yesterday, as well as contacting him on his personal email. We haven't heard back from him, so we are assuming that he might be traveling for the holidays. For the record, we told him that he most likely has a suspension set-up issue with his trike and asked that he call the factory so that we can give him detailed information on his options. If we somehow miss him before you hear from him, please tell him to call the factory at 800-331-0705. Thanks!!

This may not be the correct place for this post, but felt the need to post this. We bought our trike kit from Horizon Trikes down in Clarksville,Ar. back in 2012. They were great to deal with, built a high quality trike and paint job was fantastic. We have now traveled approximately 25K miles with zero problems. We absolutely love our Roadsmith. Can't wait till next June. We are headed out to Ariz, Utah and Colorado on a 11 day ride. For anyone that reads Triketalk, you can't go wrong with a Roadsmith.

Was reading posts and found this one from you. I called the factory and they told me to check the spacer on the link to the stabilizer bar! Can not see what that has to do with wheel alignment! I checked them and they are the length they said they should be. So they weren't much help! Found out there is no adjustment for camber! So guess I will have to live with it and keep replacing tires!

Hear, hear, you're at the right place. I love to read about the RS, and other brands as well, the rides, the planned rides. I know I'm getting the most I can from mine.

I need the dimensions of the chrome rear roadsmith wheels. Although the wheels look good I am wanting a different look.
Something like the old Craig wheels

Dirtdobber - First of all sorry for the late reply. The dimensions on our rear wheels are:

16x7 Chrome, 5 x 4.5 35mm offset.

If you have any questions please let us know. Thanks for riding Roadsmith!

Sure wish Roadsmith would come up with something to fix wheel alignment on my 09 trike

Not sure what's happening to your tires, but here's a thought. Almost as soon as I got my RS conversion done, I did Ride On in all all tires. It's self balancing, and cheap insurance against a flat tire on ride. I'm not selling this stuff, it's just what I did. Warning, it ain't cheap. If you want to know more about it, just go to ride-on.com

I'm on the second set of tires. They wear on the inside The original tires were worn bad on the inside so I had them reversed and they were almost bald. I replaced them with the next size taller as the RPM went up almost 200 when the trike kit was installed. The taller tire lowered the RPM back to where it was as a bike. Now these tires are worn on the inside also. Don't know if I should reverse them or not! How many miles do you have on your tires? Are they wearing evenly? I thought when I got the trike that I would never wear the tires out! Guess I was wrong!

I have almost 20K on my conversion tires, 2012, and the wear is almost imperceptible. I have no clue why your camber is off and wear to the inside, but it sure ain't right. If I had that problem, I'd be camping at a good RS installer's door. They are good folks at Bear Lake Corporate, and I think the RS is a good conversion from my experience. Some RS Trike Shops are not as good as others, just have to seek one out. I find the communication skills of front office folks a bit lacking, and less than helpful, but it could just be me. Trying to talk to technician is difficult, especially on the phone, and sometimes personally in the shop. They are busy people, and time is money to them. Be persistent, get with a good technician. I know I'd not put up with your problem, even if I had ride it to Bear Lake, trade it for a Hannigan, or beat it to the door of a good RS Trike Shop. Sorry if I got strung out on this, but put myself in your riding shoes, that would be my thinking.

Tony's trikes retired as many knows.
I have a small leak on the left side when the axle goes into the rear end. It is leaking between the boot and rear end housing.
Will any dealer warranty it?
KD cycles is the closest, I have sent them a email.
Any suggestions?
