Snowbird Get Together '15

I'm looking into setting up another Snowbird Get Together for 15' and I would like some input !! Would really like to get an idea of how many would attend and how many would need hotel accommodations as some of you are already staying in the Daytona area for a month or 3 next year. Need some ideas and input of what you may like so I can get something together pretty quick !! Those of you that came over from your winter spots can let me know what is in your area for lodging and location so we could plan out some rides and places to see.

Probably looking at Monday 2 Feb arrival day and Thursday 5 Feb depart. This gives individuals the weekend to get here and a long weekend to get home only requiring a week of time off for those still have to (I hate to use this word) work !!!
Last get together, most of us actually arrived on Sunday and it really worked out for the better as we had some unseasonably rainy weather Tuesday nite thru Thursday.

When I get back from Vermont, I will be checking into hotels in the Daytona area. Everyone really liked the last motel but, I will also check on a couple of others in the area.

Millie and I will be there on a day trip, not sure about a stay over. But for a RTE gathering, may I suggest Duff's Original Buffet, 2400 S Ridgewood, Daytona Beach. If there are a number of folks, they can set up an additional room, everyone gets what they want to eat, huge selection, reasonable cost. Everyone goes away happy.

Millie and I plan to be there even if just a day trip. A RTE, might consider Duff's, our last gathering, they set up a private room, everyone was happy.

I just returned from Daytona and waiting for proposals to come in for Feb 1-4, 2015. Looks like we will say pretty close to last year @ $60 + taxes per night. I stopped at 5 different places to include where we stayed last year. All properties were 3/4 star rated and the resort we stayed at last year will be hard to top, so I'm hoping for a good rate this year.

We all hope you can make it !! And we always have fun in the sun even when it rains!! But no snow !!
