why is your trike better than mine?

My Trike is better cause its parked at my house and I can drive it when i want. If you want to bring yours over and leave it for a few months I could do a more detailed test comparison.

Actually, your trike sounds wonderful, Joe!

But for me, I wouldn't trade anyone even for theirs right now..... I've got mine just the way I like it down to the perfect seat, just the right handlebar pullbacks for my arms, and the chrome wheels. The only thing I can think of that I would want to add (some time in the future) is the mechanical reverse. For now, I'm very content without reverse.

Guess it all comes down to finding the right fit for yourself, whether that be seat and arm position or bike/kit manufacturer! I think all of them are beautiful.

But........ hey......... I kinda like Lunchbox' suggestion. Drop yours off here in the Spring and I'll give it a really good test drive for a few weeks and let you know :D

The problem with the sales guys is they're trying to make a sale, so of course theirs is "the best". My biggest proble is I have a friend that likes a diffrent brand than I do & he thinks I should get the same as he likes. Well, I have my reasons for liking "my brand", but you should hear all the crap his sales guy is comming up with as to why I should go with "his brand"! It's kinda funny, actually. Look at more of the posts here & you see time & time again; if you stick with the major brand kits, you'll get a good machine & it boils down to the tired old Ford/Chevy/Dodge arguement when it comes to "the best". One of the things I've liked about this forum is the lack of this type of nonsnese. I've seen it on a lot of other forums & it gets OLD REAL fast! We each have our reasons for liking our machines. Lunchbox hit it right on the head!

ok I'll restate my orginal post, I don't want to upset anyone, It's just that I am new to trikes, and all I have to go on is what the Roadsmith dealer told me "the roadsmith is the best" so I'm wondering if that's true sorry if anyone was upset by my orginal post:)

No harm....no foul....I don't think you upset anyone Joe. I'm pretty new to trikes myself and chose the Champion based partly on my builder's recommendation. He's built and serviced a few hundred of them and he's not far from here in case I need help which was part of my choice. I spent months researching all the "name" kits and finally stumbled upon this site and found the info I was looking for. I was most impressed by the fact that everyone here is more focused on the overall triking experience than the various brands of trike we ride. I'm happy with the Champion and I'm sure you are/will be happy with the Roadsmith.....I mean, hell....it's a trike....what's not to be happy about!!

He was and is a salesman ... his lips were moving ... he told you whatever he had to ... he wants your business. If this guy, or any guy, was working for a Honda dealership do you think he still would have said the same thing.

Fact is, there is no best ... only what is best for you.

amen" I spent a year researching every trike kit made and i like the champion kit because of the look & fit, it was a very smooth look, so i am very happy with my old skool trike it has lot's of custom parts & lot's of chrome love that bling, bling.

Triker Mike has the gist of it: Mine is best because it's mine!

My best trike was red, not too much chrome, very little storage, and a solo seat. Named it Murry, because that is what was printed on the badge below the light Dad bolted on to the handlebar nut. Got into 2 wheels of various sorts for a while, and then to the best trike there was, a TrikeShop VW based Runabout. We now have the best trike, a 1995 GW1500SE MotorTrike. When (if) we get another that one will be the best.

I like forum because most of use members are of the same general opinion that all the trikes are pretty much equal with have differences that appeal to the individual that made the purchase. With that in mide eveyone has what they consider the best (AH BUT THAT"S FOR THEM) It may not be the best for you. So there really is not an answer to the question. If the question were stated is my trike the best for me? That would be a valid question with usually a short and positive answer.

I wish I could take all the best parts or options from like 6 kits and build one trike ( like a checker cab was ) all have good and bad points all are great rides . i have ridden 6 different ones many miles each ( excess of 600 miles )

Heck Champion must be the best, right? LOL just kidding.I think like most of us, whatever blows your skirt up is the best for you.I have a Yamaha Roadstar and Champion is the only one who makes a kit. However I like the lines for the *.The lines for a Harley are a little different even though it's from the same co.They try to match the make of bike.Enjoy your Roadsmith. Ken

I'll second (or third) what everyone else has said above. We all did research before picking what we thought was the best for us. I also have a 2007 Street Glide and, quite frankly I picked the Motor Trike because I liked the body style the best. Like Greydog, mine's paid for, and that's the best!

I agree with what everyone is saying. You do your research and pick a kit thats best suited for you, then you start to complete your dream Trike when your finished and take that ride, then you'll have answered your question.....
