1. How can I remove the plastic plate so I can tighten up my heater and a/c knobs?

2. What have some of you done to use a rest for the brake pedal? I have a bad knee and it is difficult to keep raising it to apply the brake pedal each time.

TIA

the plate with the radio pod, a/c switch, air & amp gauges are held in with clips. If I remember right, there are about 5 of them. A butter knife is the easy way to get in between the plate and pry if up. Mine kept popping loose, so I drilled and used 4 small black screws with recessed washers (Lowes has them) to attach it. Looks factory with the black washers and screws.
Not really sure what you are talking about for the brake???
It's been a while since I had mine off but you came remover the two alle head bolts on the top plate and you will be able to lift the plate. The AC control is held on by a bracket from the back side. The control knobs are hel on by allen screws. Hope this helps.
Can't help on the second question. I have size 13 feet but I also have bad knees.

Hey Backdraft, for question #2 I take it you mean once your foot is resting next to & below your brake pedal it's a pain to lift your foot/flex your knee to apply the brake?

You are correct. I was thinking of adding a pair of highway pegs to the side plastic with mounting plates (metal) for reinforcement. That way I could rest my foot on it and then just rotate my foot to apply the brake pedal.

What do you think?
Thanks in advance
