Over to nearby Waynesville for our meals at some good restaurants, a walk down Main Street to some interesting shops ( the Ladies will like this street with its art shops, coffee shops, furniture shops, etc.) best cheesecake we've had in years and a selection of all my favorite fudge flavors and cakes.

then on to Smoky Mountain Steel Horses, also in Waynesville ( Victory and Indian Motorcycles) to see the bikes, grand Opening this Saturday, the new Indian Scout won't be on display till then.
Maggie Valley was very QUIET except for loud pipes, which the room air conditioner fan easily downed out. The Best Western was very clean with friendly staff, mostly empty.
After 2 nights, returning home, Lunch in Gatlinburg at the Alamo, have never seen Gatlinburg with so few people on the street before and the same for Pigeon Forge. Won't have to worry about crowds, although the wheels thru Time museum was pretty busy. Really liked Waynesville, Wife would like to move to there. So, good weather, no crowds, no leaf changes yet, still all gorgeous green, great roads, Believe all will have a good time next year.

Zook, I have lost the following post that I copied, can you point me to the post?

Our Maggie Valley "Rally In The Valley" will be Sept 7,8,9,10,11 (Mon-Friday) of 2015. The Host hotel will be Best Western and will include the discount rate of $65 per night to Trike Talk / T.O.I. member attending. This is a GREAT rate and rooms will most likely sell out pretty fast, so book as soon as you can. Be sure and tell them that you are with Trike Talk to get the discount rate is this is way below the normal rate. There will be a $10 per person registration fee to help cover the expenses of hosting this event. We put a great deal of time and money into this site, as well as the event itself, to include: name tags, arm bands, printed materials, refreshments, trophies, door prizes, etc and really would appreciate your support in order to make these events a success. The host hotel link and phone number is below.

Best Western Mountainbrook Inn, Maggie Valley North Carolina

OK, Zook, I've made reservations for Maggie Valley next year.

What is the count of attendees so far, and if it's not too much of a pain, how many are T.O.I. members?

Just so you know, I am a member and proudly display the decals on my trike.

Showed Gloria this thread last night. She's excited about going to the Smokies. We are debating on bringing the motorhome, riding out and pulling the Bunkhouse camper or riding out and staying at the Best Western. We camped last time TT was at Maggie Valley, and while we met some great folks and like camping, being in the thick of things at the hotel has it's allure, and we are leaning that way.

We're Booked...arriving on Monday Sept 7th, and leaving on Friday Sept 11th...would stay through Friday, but Mitzie has to work the weekend...We'll be in Townsend (other side of the Smokies Park) the weekend before on Sept 5th and 6th if Anyone else is around then.....TRIKE TALK/TOI RALLY IN THE VALLEY here we come.....:pepper::pepper::pepper:...see Ya'll next year in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Maggie Valley, North Carolina......Ya'll been "warned".....:laugh::laugh:

In Maggie Valley again at the Best Western, enjoying the surroundings and beautiful weather. The Florida Wingnuts Trike Club are next door at the Micro Hotel for the week, about 20 trikes. Eating at different restaurants each meal, searching for the best BBQ Pork Sandwich. Meeting new people, and having a good time.:D:D:D
