something new

I really like what I see!!!!! :10:

To me it's like a cross between a trike and a hotrod and also looks very easy to work on! :pepper:ThumbUp

I been away from the site for awhile and we I saw that trike my head is starting to think...hum I may want one... I like the side by side seating as the wife and I are not small people....

Like to see one in person......

Best writeup posted so far. Lot of info. My only troubles I have with it. 1) u sit low. I enjoy sitting high looking over bridge rails etc
2) the big motor means low MPG. 27 MPG
3) says fun you can burn tires ( not whit I enjoy on a motorcycle
4) and the tires I just bought low profile tires 205 40 18 for my 18 rims on the SVX $200 each that 20" is gonna be pricy. And limited to who sells them
just looked it up rear tire size price $200 low price decent tire $350. I would not be smoking that rear 255 35 20

I think I will wait till the 2016 model comes out... will have a roof and A/C with full climate control and a back seat and a trunk and it is rumored an extra wheel on the back. I think they will call it a Chevy.

I've got a deposit on one and will hopefully get it around the first of October when Polaris starts making their first dealer deliveries.

Congratulations on your new ride! ThumbUp

How did you find the comfort of the seats and getting in and out of the Slingshot?

I thought getting in & out was pretty good considering how low it sat. If fact I'd say easier then getting in & out of our hard top Miata, especially with the top up.
Even the seats were quite comfy. Looking at them in pics lends one to think they're hard. Probably due to the angles etc.
These machines won't replace motor cycles but for the fun and comfort you won't go wrong I think. Wife and I were at the point where our 60+ year old bodies needed more comfort. We also gave consideration to the Stallion trikes but lack of passenger room and higher costs, even for a used one kept us away.

I have a Slingshot SL. Love it. I wonder how many will ride. I'd like to see lots of us.

I'm pushing 70. Comfort is a requirement. And adrenaline rush is even more important. This machine has both. It won't replace motorcycles, but "I" will replace motorcycles. LIVE TO RIDE-RIDE TO LIVE!!!! Pleasure is where you find it and if new technology is the answer, then continue your riding dream until you are 80+!!!!! $23,000? WHAT A STEAL!!!!
