The committee would like to Thank All the people who attended this year's rally. You are the ones who makes this event the Best!
The pipes of trikes are still hot from this rally, but we have to start plans for next year's event and we want your input on how to make it better.
No, we are not having The Rolling Stones or Tina Turner there next year, but with your suggestions we can make plans.
If you would like to make a suggestion and not have it displayed, please PM me, what ever you suggest will be kept confidential.
Thanks & again Thank Y'all!

The Rally Committee

I want to add my thanks to everyone who took the time and made the trip to visit us - we loved seeing all of you, and hope you all had a wonderful time!! Here's hoping you all had/have a safe, pleasant trip to wherever you may be heading. Hope we see you again next year! :)

I know it was suggested this year and turned down, but I would really like to see sign up sheets for each ride. I know you don't want the number of trikes to be too long so I suggest a cap on each group. Make it 8 trikes or whatever number you want. If it exceeds that amount break it into 2 or 3 groups depending on how many people want to go. They could leave in 15 or 30 minute intervals. We ride alone all the time and one of the benefits I was hoping for was to be able to ride with 6 or 7 trikes. It's always nice to meet new people. Also, maybe someone could talk to Carina and see if she could include the route numbers or street names online to go along with the maps. I found it very difficult to follow the maps because the lines were drawn directly over the route numbers. All in all we had a terrific time and met some great people. Looking forward to next year.

Thank you Brian, that's a good idea. Touring this year, we found about 5 trikes to be ideal for touring. Too many and we had to wait at stop/lights for everyone to clear before we could get started again.
The only problem is who will lead the groups, some people do not want to lead, but just ride, so, within the group, there has to be a leader and a back up person to make sure if something goes wrong, they can stay with the trike, and if need, run interference.

Rosy thanks again for your effort, it was our first official rally

I didn't have a chance to look at the menu board as to next years choices but did someone copy that so it can be posted to the choices.

I don't know if the menu included this but maybe a buffet instead with more choices and salads so that people who don't eat meat have more to choose from. I know Carina and her crew did the best to take care of everyone in a timely manner and it did come out quickly but a buffet would simplify the process and possibly offer more. Ribs are a time consuming process and costly menu item.

The breakfast menus were great and very good, I couldn't believe how fast the plates came out.

Kudos to the rally team. I do like the idea of limited signup for specific rides. Maybe see if those with CB's are available for front and back. It is tough seeing more than a couple trikes behind. Buffet sounds good. Awards for long distance riders would be nice (nice riding all youse guys and gals from MI, FL and points in between). Raffles are always nice if donated items can be found.
I always like a good parade. Not really anywhere that would see one up there, but maybe a short couple of miles route with no light's just circling back to Gray Ghost would be fun and make a nice video.
Now if only rally could be scheduled earlier than October to get nicer weather...Whats that you say?...Its August?...You're sh@$&ing me?

OK, am I missing announced dates somewhere confirming NETT 2015 at same bat time, same bat channel? Seems like everyone is making reservations already. Gotta hurry to get 1st floor.

We spoke about it, but I wasn't aware of anything being confirmed yet.

Someone already set it up with GGI for next year. Carina said to me "see you next year." I said God willing and the creeks don't rise. She laughed.

It sounded like the majority said yes to the GGI for next year, I made my reservations yesterday so if this changes I need to know. I think many might have did the same thing....

Waiting for the committee to let us know, anyone on the committee know about this? I heard quite a few put in for a reservation. The way this is growing someone needs to find a few more B&Bs

If we go to Texas, the Rally would have to be in November to enjoy the ride. Not that I am saying it is Hot, but it does get a little warm this time of the year! LOL

Just a couple of points to bring up...I concur with keeping the riding groups small. Our group rode up from MD and there were 9 vehicles in the group. It was a royal pain-in-the butt keeping it together, especially in towns with many stoplights or in heavy road traffic, even with CB's front, middle and rear. Four of our group made the ride to Lake George and it was almost the perfect size for traveling through the New England small town/rural environment. :D

I agree with using sign up sheets. It did get a little confusing with the multiple ride options figuring out who was going when and where. We can use the separate starting intervals or even do the same runs on different days with different groups. I'm not sure but I think our four-vehicle group was the only one that made the Lake George run on Saturday even though there were a lot of people talking about it Friday night.

After the 2013 large group ride I thought I would be disappointed with smaller groups. Having a shorter large group ride to "show off" so to speak was kind of neat but after a few miles it does get harder. I found with the small group we were able to stop where we wanted and when. On Friday we had four trikes and on Saturday we had five trikes and a bike and it still wasn't too bad. It made it easier to find parking and also a place to eat lunch along the way, plus we could get served in a timely manner which is harder when you have 10+ people or more ordering

John, we spoke with Carina before dinner ended last week, and she gave us until December to confirm dates with her, but we'll be finalizing with her and announcing dates within the next week or so, so that everyone has plenty of time to make plans (and reservations ;)).
