Hi need some help while at a bike rally the unthinkable happened both keys got locked up in the trunk called a locksmith or at least that's what he called himself and he could not get in so he drills out the cylinder now I'm needing the lock cylinder for the trunk ford motor company knows absolutely nothing the parts number that TM provided me does not even come up in their database can anybody give me some information about this would appreciate it thanks

I think a Ford Five Hundred trunk lock will work. Probably most any Ford sedan trunk lock from 2007 +\- a few years. Just for info the Stallion does not require a chip key in the ignition. Just get a generic blank cut and it will work.

I sure thought that some where along the line here that someone else locked their keys in the trunk and they were told to pop out the license plate light to access the lock ?? Not sure as I have not tried it, but I have popped out the light before.

Tom it works. We have done it on MJ's ours was because the cable came off the lock mechanism. But it still works slick. Put it all back and there are no signs of removal. Just got to be careful when snapping the lens out.

got my trunk lock hooked to power now with the inside light switch as trunk popper:clapping:...works great....no more locking the keys in trunk....

Watch it as every now and then the latch will close and you wonder why you can not close the trunk, just hit the power on the switch once or twice and it should open back up !!
