Slingshot trikes

I'm trike less now and am considering one or the Spyder. Not sure but will test drive before purchase. I see they are at the dealers now here in WI. Been there I guess for about three to four weeks. Everyone have a good Christmas.:Santa:

Rhino2 what made it so hard to get in. I tried to get in a Stallion was difficult. My friend , a woman , tried to get in and broke the mirror off. Just wondering what the difficult part was?

I'm 5'11 around 210, And just getting my knee's under the steering post was a job, Also once in then getting out there's a roll bar that runs along the bottom sides to keep the drivers feet in, That was a problem getting my feet/legs out..

The only way I can describe it was like when you get in a car after a short person drove it.. In my opinion if you made a lot of short trips, Like going to a store or coffee shop it would become a hassle.. I will add I'm almost 70, So my legs aren't as flexible as they once were... And there was broken plastic trim.. One was the leaver for raising the steering wheel, Which still worked but you has to grab it by the nub..

Wow and you are like average build.. i don"t consider you really tall or large. what about the 6' plus people or the 260 lb plus people. seems like not the perfect design. I have to check it out this year at Americade.

Picked up my Slingshot this afternoon. Really enjoyed the ride home thou it has less than 50 miles total on it getting 35 miles from home. Haha. Low 50's with high humidity today. Roads were mostly dry where traffic had traveled otherwise damp. I'll post up more info as I learn more about this machine.

I think the slingshot is a really neat transporter for contemporary riders although I may be the only one here who isn't enamored with the look/style. :cxtv: Guess I'm just a motorcycle traditionalist who keeps finding new ways to feel like an ole fogey...

Doesn't matter what you ride...just be safe out there and have fun while you're doing it!

Thoroughbred Stallion 005.JPG

Try looking up the BEST TRIKE money can buy. www.motorsportthoroughbredstallion.com Or go to You Tube and type in Thoroughbred Stallion Trike. I retired from the Detroit Fire Department 23 years ago and now life in Florida. The Stallion even has AC and Heat plus it take 87 octane gas.

That fact that premium fuel is required could be a deal breaker for some. I too would of preferred an engine that could run on regular gas. Due to almost everywhere you go there's the 10% alcohol crap for gas, maybe having a higher octane fuel is good, performance wise that is. I haven't seen any real lack of 91-93 fuel anywhere myself. Our Miata requires the 91-93 octane fuel to so I know the pain at the pump when filling up. Just part of having a fun vehicle.

Interesting machine, Only time will tell how all the soft parts [plastic] will hold up in real world driving.. The one I looked at a few months ago had a few pieces hanging off...
Hope Polaris sell a ton of them though , The more ''New'' people into power sports the better it is for all of us...ThumbUp
