MA,
Any body have any info on why the heated seat & grips do not work? 08 GL1800 The service manual has way to many test procedures , What is the most common problems ? The fuses are good swapped the relay to good one ?? :xzqxz:

I am having much of the same problem but only with my seat. So far all I know is the grips work fine, but there doesn't appear to be any current going to my seat. I'll know more in a week or so. My tech said what he will have to do it tract every line back and see if one of those is the problem. Might take some time.....And Winter is coming, right?

Is your tech aware there is a procedure shown in the Honda service manual? Should not take more than a couple hours!!!!

I had the same problem with my 2010 Goldwing when it was still a 2 wheeler. There is a control module on the left side behind and below the seat. I had to remove the left saddle bag to get to it. What I found was the wiring harness had rubbed against a sharp piece of plastic and shorted the wires. If all else fails maybe something to look for. I am thinking the trike body will have to come off to get to it.

Everything is plugged in , I think its the rear seat controller honda says its $200. thats crazzy ,see if I can take it apart & look at , clean it ? Wish we had the heated seat & grips this morning it was about 38 degrees , I had bought some new snowmobile gloves after 30 miles they SUCKED
