Just had a local custom muffler shop install a new dual setup. I am happy!

It quieted it down a good bit and got rid of the less-than-desirable (in my opinion) higher pitched resonance in the stock setup. (I don't know how else to explain it. If you have a Stallion, you know.)

It is deeper and throatier (to my ears anyway), and will still roar when I put my foot down.

Oh, both catalytic converters are still being used.

Thing I like best is that it is quieter at my preferred cruising speeds.

All in all, I'd say it was a good upgrade and worth the price.
How much was the up-grade?

$425 plus tax.

A lot of meticulous measuring and work to make it fit and retain original ground clearance. These guys were good. I have a lot of respect for mechanic-types. I can screw-up painting a fence. Good thing I don't have to make a living doing muffler work...I'd starve.

That looks really nice, the picture from the back makes it look like a sports car.

Nice Duals...BUT

REALLY like the dual setup and our ears must be attuned, as I dislike that treble sound, as well.

I am a former "preferred" Harley rider and that is the one thing I miss the most.

I AM a fan of loud pipes, but those with a deep throaty sound.

The "BUT" in my title line refers NOT to your duals....BUT to your "wing" mounted on your trunk lid.

Can you tell me where you purchased it and from whom???

Thanks....Ron

I bought my Stallion used from a guy in Missouri. He bought it new from Nutting Custom Trikes in Oklahoma. Nutting put the "spoiler" on. Nutting also built the trailer that matches the trike and also has a spoiler.

You have a nice looking Stallion and trailer. The dual upgrade makes the trike sound and look a lot better. I put a set of dual on my trike from Bazooka when he was making then and I've been very happy. Ride safe and have fun.

Spoilers

Chip, Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question regarding

the spoiler on your trike. The matching trailer with it's own spoiler is also VERY

beautiful. If anyone has any idea what spoiler would work and look as nice on

my trike, I would greatly appreciate your input.

I have some other issues which must be addressed first, but will have a spoiler

"on deck" as soon as time and money are available. One last question, Chip
What brand is your trailer? Thanks to all, in advance........Ron

Ron,
I have a Stallion and cargo trailer sold by Nutting Custom Trikes that they built (trailer). When I talked to Rick Nutting about the spoiler on the trailer, he indicated that they no longer make them but the closest that will work is the one on the California Side Car's EXCEL trailer: http://californiasidecar.com/index.php/trikes/show/excel.
It does add to the appearance of the trailer. You can see it on my photo album.

Good Luck

Dean,

Saw your photo albums. Great looking Stallion!

Where did you get your dash mat? And where did you get that trailer?
:Agree: Oh BTW,Dean.....I lived in the Springs from '99 to '02...I

would live there now, if I could get my wife to agree...she says it's too cold

and gets too much snow....although she has never visited there and

compares it to Park City, Utah and she prefers Tennessee...lol
Dean,

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my question...where did you get the transport trailer that is in your album? I've seen them online, but don't know who to contact to see about getting one to carry my Stallion on.

Chip, that trailer is built in the Denver area. They are a "WE RECOMMEND" vendor here on Trike Talk . . . see right column. There web site is: http://the-ultimate-trailers.com/. I even have a "testimony" on their site.
