Lehman parts

I have decided to chime in with an announcement. Many Lehman owners are having difficulty contacting the factory to get parts and or part numbers, answer to maintenance questions and general information on their Lehman Trike. Since the company is now under new ownership and many of the old employees have left, there is a lot of information that left as well. Many of the models prior to 2002 are unknown to the existing Lehman company representatives and therefor the understanding of particular parts for these models is also missing.

I have been a Lehman Dealer since 1998 and have serviced and re-built models that date back to the mid-1980's. I also have a number of wear related new parts for these older dis-continued models as well as part numbers for the ones I don't stock.

Post a question or comment and I will do my best to solve your issues.

Thanks

Parts

I had a 03 Harley with the Lehman kit on it and I totaled it out but didn't have enough insurance to cover the whole thing so I ate over $12,000. the insurance company told me to remove all the extras on it as they were just going to cover the basic 2 wheel bike. my question now is do you know of any one looking to purchase a few Lehman parts or parts furnished by them? I have a Lehman Trike Light Bar for Harley Renegade by Kuryakin painted black,

Trailer Hitch with Ball, Trailer wiring harness by Kriss, I also have other items but they are Harley accessories taken off before the conversion as well as after the crash. any help getting these sold to take the edge off my stupidly for not checking my insurance coverage would be greatly appreciated

I know this may be late to ask but by some chance do you have the right side cover i lost mine somewhere on the road and cannot find it.Thanks in advance

Don, I have sold out on all of those remaining transition panels. They are no longer being produced. I suggest to customers that may be in your position to get a set of stock H-D side covers and trim the body contour to fit.

I also receive a phone message and email from you, I will call you Tuesday.

Don, I don't have a Harley, but I would look on ebay for a side panel, then take Jim's advice and trim the panel to fit your trike. You can always take it to a auto body shop and have them trim the panel and paint it if you don't have the tools. The paint will be the most expensive part.

Obsolete Lehman Part Monarch II

LS6305 STUB SHAFT

I have a limited number of these stub shafts used in the Lehman Monarch II driveshaft. These became unavailable after Lehman closed, and I had several made at a time which was very expensive (almost $300 each). I finally found a company that would manufacture according to the original Lehman Specifications a small number for my future customers at a greatly reduced price. This stub shaft acts like a fuseable link for the driveshaft so that nothing else is damaged. If this shaft breaks you are dead in the water. I suggest, due to the cheap price, those that own a Monarch II put one of these on your wish list because when supplies are gone I will not be making anymore.

Buy one for $99.00 or buy two for $85.00 each. www.mjtrikes.com

2009 Suzuki C50 Lehman Tramp.Rear End

Hello All,

Maybe you can steer me in the right direction.

My differential has metal shavings in it, due to a pinion seal oil leak.

Who carries the differential bearings and seals rebuild kits?

Also, if I may need to replace the Axel where can I find one. I don't know what kind of Axel it is since Lehman use various car makers parts.

Thanks

Phil

Phil,

I am sorry that I didn't see this post earlier. I can still get the internal parts though and in years past had sold kits in that way. You need to be quick however and find someone to identify what exactly you need. The pinion seal won't repair the damage and it should be examined by a professional. Running the rear axle low or without oil will generally destroy the ring and pinion gears and pinion bearings at least. I currently have some of the parts and can still get them. Pinion bearings ($60.00 for the pair), crush sleeve ($12.50), pinion shims and pinion nut ($15.00), differential carrier bearings ($50.00 for the pair), pinion seal ($30.00), rear cover gasket ($16.00) and if you need a ring and pinion gear set ($395.00) ends up close to $600.00 in parts plus the labor to do the job. Hopefully the differential carrier assembly isn't hurt.

BTW, the bearings can be sourced if you look hard enough but Lehman made their own (spec) ring and pinion and differential housing. A close inspection by an expert is needed, and do it fast.

Jim
