stallion important safety issue read thia post

pgr run today flying down freeway at 75 80.got off freeway drove 3 0r s0 miles approx 35 mph.left rear wheel disengaged bike shook violently i mean violently.if i was on freewy id be dead.called trike toys in las vegas spoke to rick he gave me some clues.and i got thorobred #my left rear wheel was touching my back bumper. if a nut backed off why didnt it have teflon or at least locktite.i couldnt see due how low it sits to the ground. im in calif had to get it towed 50 miles to lake forest.when i find the nature of problem i will post again. in the meantime be aware and careful. stallion 204 11000 miles i repeat be careful i couldnt control the steering wheel and i felt like i was going to flip
 
That is terrifying, Jim! Thank God you were off the freeway by that time. But thank you so much for posting this and bringing it to other Stallion owners' attention!
 
Jim sorry to read about your experience. Please let us know what happened. I am not sure exactly what you are discribing but I will wait for your further report. Glad you were not hurt.
 
trike guy i mistated bumper for wheel well.the tire didnt come off it shifted 4 inchs or so to the rear. supposedly there is a ladder connection which holds it in three places. im not a mechanic but before its repaired i want to do a visual and also inspect the other wheel.when i know exact issue i will post on trike talk same thread
 
Thanks - that makes sense now. I was thinking the lug nuts, but you are correct there is an arm connected to the differential.

We have a 2010 for the wife and I don't want her crashing. Am going to have the mechanic take a look.

Yes I to now what he is talking about. The question now remains was it a bolt failure or did something come loose. Waiting for the details.
 
spoke to wing stuff in lake forest.back part ofdrivetrain hind joint on ladder broken. tommorow morning i will drive therre and take pics and post
